machine gun kelly Posted January 16 Posted January 16 NO FEAR, NO PAIN! Enough of the Elvis and Sinatra music. Put this movie on and watch these boys work. Watch it together. Josh and this team are warriors. Eye of the Tiger boys! This win will be so instrumental for them as they are beaten up, and they can do it. Just win! Like many of you, I want this so bad for especially for my 95 yr. Old dad. Just one before he passes. He’s on cloud 9 right now a 14-2 streak with the Sabres. 2 Quote

billsfan89 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I noticed McD right around later November started to use the word toughness a lot. I think when it looked like the division was not a likely possibility (even had the Bills won out they still wouldn't have gotten it) around late November McD realized that this team was going to have to win on the road in the playoffs. And in order to do that you are going to have to build toughness as part of that identity. I think it was a smart play because it was also at that point very likely the Bills were not going to have to face KC and The Ravens were also a longer shot to make the playoffs. Meaning that the Bills were going to likely be the most veteran playoff experienced team in the AFC playoffs and have to go on the road. The combo of leaning into your circumstances (needing to go on the road) and leaning into your strengths (experience) was a smart coaching move and it was smart for McD to start building that out once the dice was starting to look cast. As a younger space station, I used to LOVE playing on the road. The thought of beating kids in front of their friends and family really got me fired up. As a fully operational Death Star, I have tried to instill that mindset in teams I coach. It's not something to fear, it's an opportunity. Stomp someone (figuratively) in front of their Mom and girlfriend. Take everything that's theirs. Own their home. I blame my Viking ancestry. They loved nothing better than to sail up, take what they wanted and burn your village to the ground. Edited January 16 by That's No Moon Quote
TheWei44 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I associate that expression with Von and am not a huge fan of it anyway. But that's just me! Quote
