Wasn’t there a lot more to the trade haha wouldn’t have josh without that one

boiling it down to that would be like the bills traded the 10th pick for the 27th pick and nothing else 😂

I guess the purpose is to acknowledge white is playing well and mahomes is out for the year?

We got White, Dawkins, and Tremaine Edmunds from the picks in return. Reid got his QB and 3 rings. Would we have any rings with Pat? Impossible to know, but I doubt it.

If Mahomes was here, we'd be in the same situation, but winning less IMO. Josh ascended beyond Mahomes to me in 2021. I don't think Mahomes would have been able to keep us in games like Josh has. So based on that, I give it an A. Do I think Beane is savy? No, I think he got real lucky with Josh.

The only reason this isn’t a consensus F is because we lucked our way into drafting a better QB.

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.    To give them all the credit for not getting Mahomes, and none of it for getting Allen is a terrible take.

A terrible take is to assume they were waiting on Allen which is why they passed on Mahomes.

Mahomes is great in his own right.  Maybe better than Josh at certain things, but Josh excels in other areas.  We won this.  I never buy the head to head comparisons as their defense has been better than ours in most of the games we've played them.

I rate this thread an F.

Let me ask you a similar question. Was the Stefon Diggs trade a good trade?

We traded away the #22 pick and with that pick, the Vikings selected JUSTIN JEFFERSON!! OMG WHAT A BAD TRADE!!

But wait... here's the problem. Stefon Diggs heavily influenced Josh's early success and set the team on a course it's on now. He was later traded for a 2nd rounder that was used to get TJ Sanders. Will TJ Sanders have an All Pro career? If he doesn't, will we trade him for a 5th rounder? Will that 5th rounder become the greatest Wide Receiver of all time?

You don't know that we would have taken Mahomes if we didn't trade that pick away and every action after that trade is interconnected, to the point that asking to grade it is ridiculous. On the points chart, the trade was fair. The end.

It's an A+ trade.

Sorry, but Mahomes being PART of the Chiefs Super Bowl run is nice but there's no saying he would have done the same here. We wouldn't have Josh if Mahomes was here. And I'd much rather watch Josh play than that whiney little "b word" and have his trailer park trash family infest Buffalo.

Even straight up ..that's a win. Throw Tre White on top of it who has been one of the most beloved and entertaining players in team history and it's a no brainer.

In Buffalo Mahomes wouldn't have had Andy Reid, one of the best Offensive minds of this era. He wouldn't have had Kelce nor much else other than Cook.

No question in my mind, if the Bills had drafted Mahomes, he'd still be waiting to play in his first Super Bowl, just like Josh.

Who, in part, we were able to land through the trade.

I love Tre...but come on, this is a ln easy F

I don’t think so. I give it an A plus. We were able to gain more ammunition through that trade to be able to land Allen. Personally, I take Allen over Mahomes any day of the week. And we got Tre as well.

The 2018 draft was loaded with QBs …but keep going …you’re hot
