ATL did seem more talented to me, but perhaps he really likes Dart.

I think Morris was just doing an exponentially better job getting what he could out of players than Daboll was.  Still not great…that’s more of a shot at Daboll than praise for Morris 😂. But that giants roster really didn’t have much business being this bad.  Granted the Nabers injury definitely hurt a lot. Skattebo looks good to me but they had Tracy in his second year also who has flashed at times

Damn...imagine sucking so bad you get fired from one team then get a massive pay increase and tons of power on another...

IMO, this is what would happen with McD if the Bills ever did the same.

You can certainly look at it either way. I of course prefer your more positive take but I feel like some teams do it only as a have-to based on the rule.

You're certainly not wrong here. If you really do a dive on the Bills and their open coordinator spots, I believe they are guilty of that. Typically, they have interviewed 2 minority candidates from outside the organization, then promoted the guy they wanted from within once compliance was met.

However, they have on occasion brought people in like this. Ronald Curry is an example. I believe they spoke to him about the OC job when Brady was hired. He didn't get it but when he was available, the Bills still brought him in as QB coach.

Agree, Bijan and london are great talents and your in the NFC South which they lost on a tie breaker  this year.

True - But Skataboo and Dart are pretty damn awesome too. Nabors at WR, a GREAT D line when healthy. A lot of high picks in this years draft. Way better for John in NYG land IMO.

Every single one of us McD Detractors agrees he would get another HC job immediately... with a basement dwelling team who just wants to be relevant again. But not on a team that is trying to get over the hump from Contender to Champion.

McD and Harbaugh would be great for the Giants, Dolphins, Falcons, Raiders, Cardinals, etc.

Neither are getting the Baltimore or Buffalo job for where those teams are currently at, and their near-future goals.

Harbaugh's the best coach available in my opinion so really just glad he's going to the NFC.

I am with you here.

It was reported on tv this morning that Harbaugh was bringing in Todd Monken as his OC.  That's good for Jaxson Dart.

If that's the case, I will be interested to see the offense he employs versus what we saw with Lamar. I want to see if the passing concepts are any different. We all saw what Skat and Dart were doing together once they made him the starter over Tracey. I would imagine the run game will click right back in.

Yea that’s a good spot too…Philly would be really interesting for him if they shock fired Sirianni but we’re probably years from that 😂

Your comment made me look it up... Philly fired Doug Pederson after his 3rd season post-Super Bowl victory so yeah, Sirianni still has some goodwill left.

Pederson's firing also partially came from a power struggle over QB. He didnt want to start Hurts, the GM and Owner did. The GM and Owner found someone that would start Hurts.

I think the rest of the league is probably more understanding about how big a blocker the chiefs have been for everyone than bills fans are and a good NFC team with an opening would hire Mcd or Harbaugh immediately.  Wild speculation with no way to prove it though of course 😂

if mcd got fired after his next future wildcard round exit it would be pretty unprecedented honestly. I’d be very surprised if a good team passed on him. If he got fired for missing playoffs probably a different story though

people talk about dungy like it was some gutsy firing of a great coach but even he got beat by Philly in back to back first rounds,Tomlin lost 7 in a row, Harbaugh was pretty dismal against bills and chiefs any time and missed playoffs,Reid went 4-12 his last year in Philly, schotty had a terrible playoff record,McCarthy missed playoffs  and was the only team to lose the 2vs7 ever, etc

Even though Sean has caused me some frustration throughout his tenure, he would would get grabbed up in a heartbeat by another team if we fired him, and as you said, for more money 💰 💰💰

I dont think anyone is making excuses about the big bad Chiefs as much as Bills fans. We've had them right where we want them a couple times and failed due to coaching, while the Bucs and Eagles beat them in Super Bowls, and the Bengals beat them in the playoffs. The Chiefs werent invincible, they were just McD's kryptonite.

NFC East - Could see the Giants, Cowboys, or Commanders hiring them (Harbaugh/McD), but again those arent contenders. I dont think they would be candidates for the Eagles. Maybe Harbaugh if they wanted to get past the Siriani madness, but I don think McD without a Lombardi.

NFC South - No real contenders there, and could see the Panthers, Saints, and Falcons wanting to bring them in to elevate those franchises.

NFC North - They dont fit the mold of any of the hires in that division. LaFleur, Johnson, KOC, hot shot Offensive minds. Even Campbell as a culture setter has an OC background, and Detroit doesnt need a culture reset. Maybe if the Pack fired LaFleur, I could see Harbaugh as an option. Not sure what McD brings there tho.

NFC West - Cardinals, yes. Mayyyyybe Seattle, as they made a very McD hire with Macdonald, but not sure they would want to do that again if they were looking to make a change. But no way Rams or 9ers are going backwards to a culture guy.

JMO...

not without a Lombardy on his resume.  Zero chance.

And that division doesn't have a slam dunk team. Dallas is mid-reset, Washington is old and Philly is very talented but feels combustible. He will immediately be the best coach in that division.

... and the NFC does not have Josh, Mahomes, Burrow, Lamar, Drake, Trevor, ...

BS...a team mired in terrible years is going to look at what he did breaking the 17 year playoff drought in Buffalo and how quickly he made them into a winner, his overall record, his consistency and hire him very quickly.

I’d agree that applies to half bills fans for sure haha yea idk the chiefs bengals game mileage could vary person to person…felt like it took a wildly uncharacteristic mahomes meltdown and then some to cause that.

not trying  to say anyone that thinks your way is wrong at all by any means 😂 id just guess he’d get scooped up quick by a good team depending on the firing circumstances. I feel like we’ve seen worse retreads get hired to pretty good teams but I gotta think about it.  Not really a lot of data on it cuz it’s pretty rare of a firing unless we go out and miss the playoffs next year or something.  Mcd really hasn’t made it ‘easy’ in a way these other guys thought of as good coaches have.  Seems like the fired guys tend to get a bit overrated too post-firing

Smart move. I never cared much for the Giants but they are building a good team.

I would hope so, they have been picking at the top of the draft for some time now.

I've always like Harbaugh, he seems like a great leader of men. I'd would be happy if I were the Giants.
