John Harbaugh and the Giants are working to finalize an agreement to make him New York’s next head coach and, barring a setback, a deal is expected, multiple sources tell ESPN.

This is what I expected

he gets a first round quarterback with a little bit of experience and talent.. but he doesn't have to rely on drafting someone

He has a pass rusher who went top five

And the Giants will give him a couple years to build

Wow. thats big.  actually a good gig. Philly is reeling, Dallas is mid and Washington isn’t right after one good season.  He could own the nfc east. They already have some good pieces and a nice draft will help a lot

Also gets him out of the AFC

Ummm, what about the Rooney Rule?

Harbaugh is Black, Native American, and Hispanic. I think we're good

Complied with: Interviewed Raheem Morris, Antonio Pierce, plus virtual interview with Vance Joseph.

And his middle name happens to be Rooney.

They have interviewed Raheem Morris and Antonio Pierce. They are Rooney compliant.

They have also interviewed Vance Joseph, however that was over teleconference and only in person interviews count for the rule.

Bottom line they are covered.

Good deal out of the AFC and more specifically not Miami or NY Jets 😀

Still, I had thought that the Falcons' job would be a better fit with all the talent on that roster.

Besides, that job has its drawbacks with all the scrutiny from that area of NYC...

The question is what this means for Joe Schoen.

I'd guess job security

Not so sure but we'll know pretty soon here.

Minimally I feel like Harbaugh would want final say on most football matters.

I may be making a huge assumption, that Schoen was part of the interview process

He was and the Giants already gave a vote of confidence in Schoen staying.  Maybe you get another Whaley/McDermott situation but I doubt it.
