folz Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Wow. It was time, but still somewhat surprised that the Steelers actually pulled the trigger. 1 2 Quote
Magox Posted January 13 Posted January 13 That’s a big move. With no franchise QB in place, I wouldn’t consider it to be one of the top 3 available destinations. 3 Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) He’ll be in a broadcast booth for sure. Man that team is headed towards full tank I think which they’ve been putting off for decades it feels like 😂 Edited January 13 by Generic_Bills_Fan 2 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted January 13 Posted January 13 this means the Steelers control his rights still then when he wants to come back? I would have asked to be fired or tear up the contract. 1 Quote
Rubes Posted January 13 Posted January 13 4th head coach since 1969. That's crazy. Didn't the Bills have 4 head coaches just in the 1980s? 2 1 3 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Wow. He was a great HC, but hasn't been willing to make changes needed Quote
GunnerBill Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Very sad. Great run. Excellent coach. NINE jobs now open. Ridiculous. 8 1 1 Quote

IDK, if you get the gig, you might get to stay a LONG while considering their track record with coaches. That might be enticing to candidates (i.e. time to build as opposed to be expected to win immediately). 2 Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Zac Taylor is the only coach in the AFC north right now how crazy is that 1 1 6 Quote

HappyDays Posted January 13 Posted January 13 It is the right move for both sides. Everything in Pittsburgh had gotten stale. Now they can blow it up and start over instead of living in wildcard purgatory. And Tomlin can go somewhere with an established talent pool and a fanbase that isn't sick of him. I bet he and Harbaugh end up in Atlanta and NY respectively. 5 Quote
