I've said for years he's the most overrated wide receiver in the NFL 

 

He's nothing more than an athlete who is suspect in most wide receiver facets 

 

He's a three trick pony who does his three tricks very well.. he's not elite

my buddy who is a Steelers fan says metcalf is basically a high-end number 2 receiver. 
 

I think most fans just remember him from the draft, and don’t realize that he isn’t that good.

Yeah he's definitely not bad.. high-end number 2 sounds about right 

 

He has some things he's very good at.. but his route tree is lacking and he's always been prone to drops

 

He's a nine route, come back, post guy... Your true elite number one has way more in his bag than that

Mills might be better than Stroud overall.  Certainly smarter.

 

And the main answer is Joe Brady.......  He came in with a terrible game plan and refused to adjust.  He played 5 man protection the entire game even when one of our tackles got concussed and the other one was having to play with 1 arm.  He never did anything to help them and Allen had players in his face as soon as the ball was snapped.  It's that simple.
