Warriorspikes51 Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 has Curtis Samuel been around the team? Been a strangely quiet situation 2 Quote
Pete Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Im guessing Bills were playing IR gymnastics with Samuel, allowing him to get in has fresh and in great shape. There is not a lot of film of Samuel. Curtis caught 2 playoff TDs last year. Curtis has speed, which our WR core sorely lacks. My guess is Curtis is miraculously healed, and catches a TD on Saturday. 12 2 4 Quote
Success Posted January 12 Posted January 12 BIG I'm still bullish on Samuel. I have always felt like he's never been fully healthy for us, and maybe this time on IR has gotten him there. I think he can at least give us the production we got from Gabe, but hopefully much more. 11 6 1 Quote
Pete Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Id love to see Curtis doing his silly playoff celebration dance lots this post season! 3 Quote
Big Turk Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Just now, Pete said: Id love to see Curtis doing his silly playoff celebration dance lots this post season! Surtain calls him "Tail lights" Samuel because that's all he saw chasing him 60 yards to the endzone... 1 1 5 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 you would think Samuel especially will be thrown on the field even if he's not quite 100% yet Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) My guess is Samuel is just a ramp up thing in case they take ANOTHER injury to the WR core while advancing. As I said, I see them going Hardman first as to not risk Samuel getting hurt and putting us in a position where he doesn't pass a physical when we want to release him in the off-season for Cap space. But if they were to take another injury to the core, we might not have a choice but to turn to him. So better to start getting him warmed up so if we need to break glass, we can. Edit: After seeing that they're "still evaluating" the extent of Tyrell Shavers knee injury, if he's out - it may already be a break glass situation. Edited January 12 by BillsFanForever19 1 1 Quote
26TrapDraw Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Will he ( Curtis Samuel) play or can he play at denver? Quote
Cash Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Good news, everyone! Samuel wouldn't register at all for me, except that Davis is now almost certainly done for the year. Samuel might be a better option than Mecole Hardman, but neither one can do much of replacing Gabe's role at X receiver. Still, just having another semi-competent NFL player available at WR is something at this point. Ed O... I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. But the best case scenario is really fun to think about. If he can both come back, and look like his in-game-shape healthy self, it could be a real difference-maker for our defense. Big ifs, especially the second one. 1 2 1 Quote

Ed I think is a 10% chance to play in the AFCCG should the Bills advance, probably will have a good shot at playing in the Super Bowl should the Bills get there because of the bye week in-between that's a little under a month away. Samuel might be helpful just because the Bills need a body at WR even if Samuel is a completely different player than Gabe it is still helpful to have a vet there that Josh knows and when healthy can make a play or two. Steptide Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Samuel may be a slight upgrade from Gabe if he's ready to go. Let's hope if he plays he can actually do something. Oliver being back would be huge 1 2 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted January 12 Posted January 12 This is potentially big IF we win this week. Neither guy will likely be available by Saturday. Neither are likely in football shape and going to the high altitude would be less than an ideal spot. 1 Quote
