BuffaloBillyG Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) Thought it may be fun to have a thread for the playoff rooting interests. Not necessarily who you THINK is going to win...but who and what situation you're rooting for? For me it's a pretty clear path. AFC: Buffalo over Jags (obviously) Chargers over Patriots Steelers over Texans I really feel like all the AFC games this weekend are a toss up. I'd love to see that Houston defense out of the bracket. This path sends the Chargers to Denver next week and us to Pittsburgh. While the Broncos did hand the Chargers a loss last week in Denver, division rival matchups in the playoffs can be unpredictable. A LA upset could lead the AFCCG to Hallmark if we beat Pittsburgh. NFC: Bears over Packers 49ers over Eagles Panthers over Rams Again, not who I think will win, but I'd like to see Chicago and Carolina advance for something different. And I flat out do not like the Eagles or their HC with the punchable face. This would set up a round 2 of San Francisco at Seattle and the Panthers at Bears. With Darnold due to play like a Darnold anytime soon, it's a good spot for the 9ers. Bears over Panthers. NFCCG of Bears hosting San Fran. Edited January 10 by BuffaloBillyG 7 1 1 1 Quote

Greg S Posted January 10 Posted January 10 AFC. Bills,Chargers,Steelers. NFC. Panthers, 49ers,Bears. In the NFC its really only the Panthers. Eliminate one of the strongest teams and keep one of the weakest teams in it. Improves the Bills chances if they make it to the Super Bowl. I dont expect the Panthers to pull off the upset. 1 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Bills Vs Steelers with Pittsburgh coming off a short week, would be a dream divisional round matchup. So go Bills, chargers and steelers 3 4 1 Quote

This is the right answer. That would be the easiest path for the Bills and I don’t care how they win a Super Bowl just that they do. They can say that they got an easy ride, but, they still got there. As a basketball fan, the Raptors winning their championship in 2019 is often called out because of the injuries that other teams had. I don’t care. The banner still hangs in the arena. 1 Quote

I could be talked into the Packers over the Bears mostly because I think that they are worse. The Bears are kind of a fun story though that I wouldn’t mind seeing a little longer. 1 Quote

zow2 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 This is the first time in history that the top 4 seeds, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, New England.... have starting QBs that have never won a playoff game. That's another reason why media and fans think it's the most wide open Super Bowl field ever. 1 Quote
Jared Posted January 10 Posted January 10 As a Pats fan- if the Bills win it opens up the path for an AFC Championship Game in Foxborough, Bills at Pats. I honestly think that would be a tougher matchup for the Pats than playing @ Denver, but it would make for an awesome story line. ... but I can't ACTUALLY root for the Bills, so go Jags. 😄 1 Quote

When I answered it was "who do you think will win this weekends games". So those are my answers. I'm definitely aware that certain results would benefit the Bills a lot more... assuming we take care of business. 2 minutes ago, Einstein said: Do you just want the Bills to have the hardest possible road or? Steptide Posted January 10 Posted January 10 It's weird, other than the bills, anyone else in the superbowl feels strange. Any other afc team making it to the superbowl just doesn't feel right Imo. NFC wise, I enjoy watching the 9ers alot, but seeing a different team in the superbowl would also be cool (like the bears or packers). 1 1 Quote
MDH Posted January 10 Posted January 10 AFC It depends on if the Pats win or lose. Bills over Jags Chargers over Patriots -Houston over Pittsburgh if the Pats win -Pittsburgh over Houston if Pats lose I don’t want the Pats to get to the AFCCG by playing the two worst teams in the AFC bracket.Unlike others here I don’t fear the Texans and I don’t care if the Bills play them or the Pats in terms of matchups. NFC Panthers over Rams Niners of Eagles Bears over Packers 2 Quote
