On Wed at 4pm the roster is locked. At that point we can only sign 4 ufas So by Tuesday we'll get an idea where they're going to go with the roster. If hairston injury is serious Latu to the ps And they probably sign Dane and Couch to the 53, or Dane and Devonshire... You would then need another couple cbs on the ps We'll see I wouldn't mind Gilmore. He's reportedly in shape and can help us get a Superbowl They'll be fine as long as Benford & White stay healthy You could see a couple cbs signed to the 53, a couple signed to the ps and a kicker signed to the 53 all by Tuesday or Wed at 4pm which is the deadline If a team is not in the playoffs, it is not terribly likely to claim a player on waivers. With its season being over, a team that's not in the playoffs is likely to be a little more careful and deliberate about adding personnel. It's a long offseason. Among teams that are in the playoffs, there are only a few than can put in a waiver claim ahead of the Bills. Unfortunately, teams that are out of the playoffs have no particular reason to quickly release veterans. Most of those decisions probably won't be made until late February at the earliest. machine gun kelly Posted January 5 Posted January 5 As much as I know people are in panic mode over Prater, and Hairston, I don’t see claiming people working. Someone mentioned Gilmore, and I think he’s available. That could help. My guess is they workout a ton of kickers this week. Quote

Would appreciate if anyone can provide that IF we are eligible to do that. A few ideas: Von Miller (unless he goes to Denver) 9 sacks this year. Upgrade over Solomon Rasul Douglas if Max is going to miss time Rasul had a good year in Miami and is a big upgrade from Dane Jackson Harrison Phillips would instantly help our depleted DT depth and run D Hey they are paying Von anyway so why not if they have the money for others that would not be a bad thing . It would be unusual for guys to get released after their season is over but before the playoffs are done. Plus there are waivers This seems like a fantasy thing to me. These guys weren’t released unless I’m missing something. Quote

Gunney Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Two FA kickers available now are Justin Tucker and Younghoe Koo. Tucker's alleged off field issues are very problematic. His 10 game suspension has been served, but 2024 was the last season he played, and it was erratic. Koo possibly could get the job done, but he's had kicking issues, too. He was waived by the Giants in December after missing two 50+ yard FGs. Earlier in the season, against the Patriots, he completely missed the ball during a FG attempt which was reminiscent of Charlie Brown. 1 Quote
