Warriorspikes51 Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) I think we’d all like clarification on the rules of pending UFA’s being released early per their request to sign with Playoff teams? Would appreciate if anyone can provide that IF we are eligible to do that. A few ideas: Von Miller (unless he goes to Denver) 9 sacks this year. Upgrade over Solomon Rasul Douglas if Max is going to miss time Rasul had a good year in Miami and is a big upgrade from Dane Jackson Harrison Phillips would instantly help our depleted DT depth and run D Edited January 5 by Warriorspikes51 3 2 1 Quote

On Wed at 4pm the roster is locked. At that point we can only sign 4 ufas So by Tuesday we'll get an idea where they're going to go with the roster. If hairston injury is serious Latu to the ps And they probably sign Dane and Couch to the 53, or Dane and Devonshire... You would then need another couple cbs on the ps We'll see I wouldn't mind Gilmore. He's reportedly in shape and can help us get a Superbowl They'll be fine as long as Benford & White stay healthy You could see a couple cbs signed to the 53, a couple signed to the ps and a kicker signed to the 53 all by Tuesday or Wed at 4pm which is the deadline Edited January 5 by Kelly to Allen 2 Quote
boyst Posted January 5 Posted January 5 During the game yesterday the CBS crew was talking about an interview with Phillips. They said he was looking forward to being a part of a culture change going forward in the Jets. This guy is the biggest JAG superstar ever. He's a 3rd on the depth chart guy that offers consistency across the board. 2 Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) Were then guys mentioned released or is this a fantasy wish list type thing? It would be unusual for guys to get released after their season is over but before the playoffs are done. Plus there are waivers Edited January 5 by Matt_In_NH 1 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted January 5 Posted January 5 We have to address kicker and CB ASAP. No way we can go to Jax like this. 1 minute ago, Matt_In_NH said: We’re then guys mentioned released or is this a fantasy wish list type thing? chris heff Posted January 5 Posted January 5 The biggest need is a kicker, are any of those going to be available? 2 Quote

Especially when the Jags have a guy that can probably make a 70 yarder to win a game if needed...already has a 68 and a 67 yarder. 1 1 Quote

He's never going to be a Pro Bowl level player but he has a steady floor and is a great team player. Wish we had him. 2 2 Quote

There could be ramifications for things like comp picks I would think. Quote

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I thought rosters were basically locked in terms of guys switching teams now. 1 Quote

So my understanding is that teams that didn't make the playoffs can release players ( that ask for it) so they are free to sign with any team. Te hey would have to clear waivers or the Bills can put a claim in if no one else snags the player first. Quote
