YoloinOhio Posted January 4 Posted January 4 These stories just keep recycling. The media needs to get it through their heads that pegula is not firing Sean McDermott . He would need to have multiple losing seasons imo and even then … it would take a lot. I know people like to debate back and forth whether he’s deserving of being fired or not but it’s a waste of time imo. 3 3 1 Quote

We have the best player in the NFL, we will be ok giving another coach the reigns, preferably one who invests in Josh Highest win percentage in Bills history. Seven straight seasons with double digit wins. Seven career playoff wins. Two AFC Championship appearances. Five division titles. It's almost like he is one of the best and most accomplished coaches in Bills history or something... 1 2 1 Quote
Blank Stare Posted January 4 Posted January 4 If they can’t get it done with the best player in the world yet again, it’s time. My ire this season has completely flipped to Beane and his terrible FA roster decisions and neglect of the WR position, but I’ve not forgotten about McD’s shortcomings with his defense. The two seem like great dudes, but this is a business. Get it done or get out. 1 2 1 1 Quote

Which McDermott has driven plenty of both to his franchise. Im sure pegs would love a SB too but highly doubt it’s a critical priority for him similar to most owners. If you see how he has run his other team it is clear he’s thrilled what he has right now. Edited January 4 by YoloinOhio Quote

If we get back to "Allen looks miserable" and all the commentors talk about is how nobody is open and everything is on Allen to be Superman then it's going to get loud for Beane. Also, you can't fire 3 straight OCs when you have Josh Allen without some serious questions. IMO Beane will be on the hook way before McDermott. His national media tour after dunking on local media about WR before the season couldn't look worse now. For all we know McDermott wants more WR help and more offensive weapons. We're a top team leaguewide now, so more attention is going to be paid to everything. Beane struggles to draft for positions perennial in need: WR and CB. He's lost. 1 Quote
RyanC883 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 So the goal is now win one playoff game in Allen’s prime. It’s SB win or the seat should be really hot. The “dynasty” KC is out. No excuses. 2 1 1 1 Quote

If you see how he has run his other team it is clear he’s thrilled what he has right now. I believe you’re right. Pegula is the real problem and I understand his reasoning, “hey we’re making the playoffs each year and I’m making money with the best player in the sport all is good”. But hopefully he sees how change was good for his sabers and maybe it’s time for his bills too if we have another early exit with no Chiefs or Bengals in our way Quote

FLFan Posted January 4 Posted January 4 He does not know any more about this than any one of us. Pure speculation based on nothing. It was part of a piece he did on the pregame show today speculating on about a dozen coaches, all with the same lack of knowing anything. Got him some clicks I am sure. 1 Quote
JMM Posted January 4 Posted January 4 1 hour ago, BillsShredder83 said: Likelihood of one or the other getting tossed seems like zero. Theyre way too intertwined to do that. I was with Beane up until final straw of the trade deadline. Had dude made a single WR trade, I think he would've saved his job and been around to potentially hire a new coach.... now I dunno. As mind blowing as the WR thing is, the refusal /inability to hire strong OC/DC coaches is mind boggling. Josh would have a line out the door for OCs wanting the job.... maybe McD knows that hire would be his #1 threat. They both blew it and deserve whatever happens 2 them THIS!!! if they are one and done and look bad the ONLY way McDermott should survive is the demand he hire 2 new coordinators, both independent and experienced with past NFL success. The Babich experiment has been a JOKE Quote
