it all depends on how the playoffs go.

If we get back to "Allen looks miserable" and all the commentors talk about is how nobody is open and everything is on Allen to be Superman then it's going to get loud for Beane.

Also, you can't fire 3 straight OCs when you have Josh Allen without some serious questions.

IMO Beane will be on the hook way before McDermott. His national media tour after dunking on local media about WR before the season couldn't look worse now. For all we know McDermott wants more WR help and more offensive weapons.

We're a top team leaguewide now, so more attention is going to be paid to everything.

Schefter putting himself out on a limb there. Hang on tight Adam!

Yeah really.  He's safe but if people are disappointed it might be different.  Nostradamus there.

Haha that’s kinda a mess of a headline really.  Seems like the general vibe under the headline is he might not be safe if they lose the first playoff game but they summed it up in the most ‘well duh’ way possible 😂

Beane should receive more heat than McDermott does.

If this team wore stars on the helmet we'd all be talking like McDermott is wasting Allen's prime years. Get ready for a lot of that talk if things don't go really well this playoff run.

No Burrow, no Mahomes, a possible second AFC bye week with the Steelers getting in... If you can't get it done in that scenario then it will get LOUD nationally, even if it doesn't ultimately mean much. You'll see all sorts of these stories.

At some point, firing Joe Brady and promoting the WR coach from in house or some similar move isn't going to cut it. It could be an ultimatum to bring in a top OC from outside.

When a HC churns through OC after OC and keeps promoting from within that eventually runs its course.

No way no how. Those guys are untouchable and by the time they are not, Josh will be spent and our ride will be over. Took Pegs 15 years with the Sabes. Get ready for 8th verse same as the first,

Playoff performance will dictate his status. With no Mahomes , Burrow and likely Jackson in the tournament there are no excuses.

Is Jackson likely to miss? Think they’re a favorite today.  I really wouldn’t be crazy surprised if the afc championship is bills ravens haha

The Bills may win today according to Schefter.

I agree with most of your post, but Brian Daboll was not fired. He was so successful that he got a head coaching gig. It’s unfair to use that as an argument

That's right...

I do wonder if Daboll would come back. I know everyone says its impossible but Pegula loves the guy and maybe McDermott just wants to win.

Either way, we have to see how this all plays out!

They may be, but I think they run out of gas and make too many mistakes today. Jmo though

Would much rather have home games plus Mahomes in, than having to win 3 straight on the road. It’s a silly premise that the path is easier now

I think Terry gave McDermott this book for Christmas:

I'm not one of you guys wanted the "McBeane" head on a stick.

BUT that is funny!
