Chambliss is special. Kid is going to be an NFL QB

Smart and live but he's small with not a ton of arm beyond 35.

He can probably carve out enough of a career to have it pay off for him, but he's going to have a really hard time being a reliable starter I think.

I think that is debatable, for sure. But to the refs eye, that looked like illegal contact (not mutual hand fighting), and then a push by the defender. That is usually called.

i guess they don’t want to call something like that on a Hail Mary play, but that also wasn’t a true Hail Mary— 35 yard pass.

I don't know if I'd have had the guts to throw that flag in that spot either, but if that guy had, I don't think he'd have been wrong in hindsight.

given that PI is a 15-yard penalty in college, I think it would not have been outcome determinative. One more untimed down from the 15– would have been high drama!!

He plays a lot like Malik Willis did at liberty

Better ball security not as strong as an arm

That kid was in the zone again.

There's a significant chance they could have actually gone to the championship on an untimed down. :o

Ball would have been at the 2… pass interference in end zone in college ball goes to the 2

No it doesn't

It's a 15-yard penalty in college the ball is past 15 yards

It's a spot foul inside that with an automatic first down

I think he’s got enough arm talent. He’s over 6 feet, athletic, makes good reads and most importantly has ice water in his veins. I’d for sure take him in the 4th if he’s still sitting there. Sit behind a vet with a creative HC like McVay and Look out…

Over 6 ft is a stretch

Think he's going to be 5'11 at the combine though he does have some really good traits

The broadcast ref said that when players are pushing and grabbing each other, unless one of the players gains a distinct advantage, they will not throw the flag.

Just give it to em

In 1998 bills pats game, bills lost on a dpi called on Henry jones on a Hail Mary.

Bills were pi$$ed and Ralph got a $100,000 fine.

Next week there was a quote in sports illustrated attributed to nfl head of officiating in meeting with other officials “never call pi on a Hail Mary”

I thought that broadcast ref was wrong most of the night! On that first targeting call, he was so sure it was targeting, when it was clear the defender didn’t launch and was actually going for the ball.

Regardless, take a look at this video. This doesn’t seem like mutual hand fighting. I don’t think the ole miss receiver is grabbing the Miami player at all.

i think the most plausible explanation is that the refs were just going to let it go since it was the last play.

I agree that it should almost never be called. Way too much positioning for the ball

I think his height will be an issue. Has some Kyler Murray to his game.  But he has that dog in him. Elite college QB. He will be a pro for sure, just hard to say how it goes.

Others were very near the DB and WR, which I think added complexity. Unlikely, but were they more isolated maybe it’s viewed differently.

Didn’t look back through all the comments but I learned something last night. I definitely did NOT know that you can’t throw the ball away to avoid a sack if you weren’t the one to take the snap. Go figure!

What a great first semifinal!  Hope tonight’s game is equally entertaining.

The playoffs have been top notch this year.

Fourth? In this draft he will probably be picked in the 1st or 2nd.

He's not coming out from what I understand. Agree that he will be a 1st or 2nd. The height will be an issue. But if Kyler Murray can go first overall, this kid can be a 1st round pick for sure. Also much better head on his shoulders.

He would probably be the 4th QB taken after the 2 playing tonight and Simpson. He’s a little smaller so not all teams will love him. Maybe someone takes him 2nd though. I like him a lot. He’d be great sitting behind Stafford a year with McVay as his HC
