Is it more than the inability to get separation that is his problem?  Too many drops?  Not running the right routes? Whatever, something doesn't make sense.  They can scheme plays to get receivers open.  I don't recall a lot of drops, more than anyone else.  I do remember that he did make a few very important receptions that helped win a couple games.  Something is not right with this situation.

Combination of poor effort and doesn’t play like a 6’4” big bodied receiver.

The guy has shown up late or missed multiple meetings. He's clearly not a professional, lacks maturity, focus and doesn't put in the extra effort to improve. He's a dud. Cut bait and move on after the season.

> Lack of concentration, particularly when his initial route doesn't open up for him. His brain vapor locks and he stops working the field.

> Poor fit for this offense. He's probably best served being a volume receiver where his mistakes are offset by the occasional big play and he's not getting enough looks for those occasional big plays to happen.

> Immaturity

> Has shown no willingness or ability to adjust his game to guys who are just as athletic as him. Thinks he can just overpower people like he always has instead of learning how to create late separation with subtle leverage.

He’s a big low effort guy. He routinely dogs it when he knows he isn’t a target. He doesn’t put his nose into the action as a downfield blocker. He does it in practice and in games. He’s just a bad pick and the only way he gets better is if his crappy agent convinces him he’s a rookie contract and out of the league unless he shows appreciation for this opportunity.

Attitude is one but he can’t separate. If you can’t separate you should be physical and dependable. He is neither. Combine that with a ***** attitude and here we are.

Go look at his rookie year, especially before the injury.  There's some talent there.  Yes he was drafted too high, but that's not his fault.  No excuse for his selfish BS, but we're not exactly in the WR whisperer category of offensive talent utilization and development at the moment.

He doesn't play to his size. That's in addition to being irresponsible and lazy.

I think he's a classic dude that always got by on his size, but in the NFL size alone isn't going to do squat. He lacks the drive to be a master of his craft.

Maybe Cooks?

Cooks hasn’t been and likely isn’t going to be around long enough to mentor anyone, and I believe there is word that he hasn’t been the easiest guy to deal with, which is probably why he’s been on so many rosters.
