Diego Pavia is an intriguing player imo. Vanderbilt lists him at 6 feet tall. Others place him at a far more accurate 5'9". I liken him to a stronger Doug Flutie with a better arm. The kid definitely has an attitude, but he plays with composure, or so I think. He is listed as a 6th year senior so he will enter the  NFL with more experience than most.

Kiper has him listed as his 9th rated QB. I would tend to rate him somewhat higher than that. His height is a serious drawback but he has a strong arm and is a VERY vood runner. I sense that he is smart like Flutie, and seemingly a bit of a headcase but that is obviously just a guess. His brothers are nuts LOL.

In any event, I would not at all mind if the Bills take him if he is there for us in the mid to late rounds, and think that he might be an interesting, low cost backup for Josh.

What do y'all think?

I think the era of drafting the short, mobile QBs high in the draft is over for a while.  Arizona didn't go anywhere with Kyler Murray, and the jury remains out on Bryce Young's trajectory.  Pavia's maturity doesn't appear fantastic either.

I like his potential as a running back.

A running back? I don't know, I think he has very good potential to be a good QB in the league. He's not a first round player, but someone who can grow and learn a system, unless he goes to the Jets.

I don't think he has maturity issues, I see that bravado of his being more on the field than as the person he is.

Why does NCAA Football create so many insurance salesmen?

Alumni boosters always find a place for their pets.

I can see the Bills take a flyer on him, and three weeks into the regular season, he's playing Iago to Josh Allen's Othello. 🤨

He's got that "F*** you, I'll prove to you I can do it" attitude which is awesome and brought Vandy to new heights. He's got the heart of a warrior, but the size of a jester.

He has little man syndrome.  After his asinine comments toward Heisman voters, odds are he goes undrafted.

I live in Albuquerque NM, where Diego is from. I am good friends with a guy who coached him in youth football programs when Diego was a teenager. He said he is a stand up guy and an absolute monster on the field. I wish nothing but the best for Diego. It is rare that NM gets to have nice things :)

Brains of a 12 year old .. embarrassing behavior at Heisman will hurt his NFL draft status which isn’t great to start with. He certainly competes and wants to win. Too much ego not enough talent.
