Some things never change - Chiefs playing Missouri and Kansas off each other for more stadium money

The NFL has historically put on master classes in negotiations by playing sides off of each other. Glad the Bills will have a new stadium soon. They are not likely to now leave Buffalo in my lifetime.  However, the idea that the Bills are in Buffalo “forever” is subject to debate.

Bears haven't been able to shake loose any tax money for new stadium from state or city. First they hyped up land they purchased in Arlington Heights. Then they started looking at sites in Chicago. Then back to Arlington. No tax dollars. The latest: They're looking to build in NW Indiana. Picture it: the Gary Bears. Laughable.

I'm a lifelong Bills guy, but the stadium situation here is just disgusting. Terry's investment has quadrupled, but the locals are footing ⅔ of the bill, while simultaneously being priced out of the market. F*** billionaires,  they're all the same.

2/3? The latest estimate put the stadium at 2.1 billion and Terry is footing everything over ~700, so 1.4 billion or thereabouts. Your math is way off unless I'm not understanding you

And then he will chill on his $100 million mega yacht. It's absolutely disgusting.

I remember decades ago Robert Kraft did the same thing with Hartford, CT when I lived up there to get their new stadium in Foxboro

Yup, I lived in West Hartford at the time, lots of hype, with no real chance of the Patriots moving,

You are absolutely correct. Original price was 1.4, and public funding is 850 million so taxpayers were only on the hook for a 60%. Definitely nowhere near 66%. Much better deal. I will keep my outrage to myself.

Thank you for correcting me.

Yeah, I want billionaires to give me things, too.  The bastards.

No one wants billionaires to give them anything. They just don’t want to give billionaires anything either, which is understandable.

To the people complaining about it coming from tax payers money, have you seen where that money goes? We were going to pay it anyway, typically it goes to stuff that will never benefit us.

I’m stoked it’s actually being used on something we can use and see with our own eyes.

It’s not like it’s either this or paved roads or something.

I have to agree about our new Highmark stadium.  It has priced out so many local fans who want to go to a game or two during a season.  That's what they can afford as a family outing.  I believe they days of taking kids to a Bills game is over.

Yeah the overruns are what got him. Obviously this was anticipated by all parties that the cost of the stadium would increase but at this point it’s actually Terry funding about 60% of it himself. My own opinion is that it will be 2.5 billion at the end and Terry will be in for 1.65 billion with public funding being 850 million

Dude it's been over for a long time if you want to take out a family of five without money

The days of 2002 tickets that you can get for $9 are over

The bills are a good team you're not getting tickets for cheap that is the market unfortunately

It’s actually not radically different than the cowboys playing in Arlington, the Jets/Giants in NJ. NW Indiana is about a 45 minute train ride from downtown Chicago
