This is an incredibly weak argument. Tua looked like he might *literally die on that one KO vs Cinci. People were concerned for the dude!

As for the other thing youre throwing around, also crazy weak. Tua is far and away one of the more liked and likeable QBs.

Hes pretty unique in that Ive never seen anyone criticize his play without first reading "He seems like a really genuine nice kid BUT...".

I think hed do better in a nationwide poll asking who's most likeable, than even Josh. Ive grown up and lived in some racist towns, and I dont think any of those guys would have a disbarraging thing to say on that front. If someone had racism to throw his way, id bet money on it being another Asian lol

Dart isnt catching retire flak because people dont even know hes had that many. I think a ton of Sabres fans were happy when LaFontaine decided to hang em up in the dang 90's.

Tons of other pretty beloved players have had support making the same decision. Keuchley. Eric Lindros. That '9ers dude that did one year and left.

People see things like that Bears QB with CTE. Chris Benoit. Fridge Perry. Etc etc and are pretty glad to see people not willingly take the same path

Just so you know, @Sweats already recanted on page 2 or 3.

There is probably not much to evaluate with Zach WIlson, but they do have rookie Quinn Ewers on the end of the bench. Might as well see if you have anything there.

Quinn Ewers is basically a right handed Dillon Gabriel. Experienced college qb with very limited upside who probably has enough mobility to hang around the fringes of an NFL roster for a few years

Wouldn’t be surprised if Tua never plays another down for the dolphins.  Playing like he did in a must win game most likely sealed his fate.  This is the dolphins so you never know, but any sane front office would move on and eat his contract.

Maybe - but the Fins were still alive last night (although barely) in the playoff race.

Bad news for the Bills is that Ewers will likely start the next 3 games and they have no chance of winning in Foxborough with him.

Wouldn't surprise me to see them try and move up to take Mendoza in the draft.

Slim chance of that happening, but if they had won it would have been even harder.

You must have missed page 3 where i mentioned that i made a mistake and how i forgot the severity of some of Tua's concussions.

Have a wonderful day

It's amazing.

They been on a tear thats easy to miss if you werent paying attention closely.  Dude went from maybe not lasting the rest of season as HC, to probably getting another year at it.  Super impressive honestly.

If he shakes loose, I would be absolutely denting up my pants at the chance to bring him into the fold!!  Fingers crossed

I’d certainly be excited to see what the nerd could do here as OC with Josh and HOPEFULLY a renewed commitment to finding some better talent at WR

Just think had McDermott had our team ready to play against the Dolphins and won,  we would not need to worry and expect Dolphins to beat Pats

I’m sure every season, every team with a chance at a trophy has an inexplicable loss or two during the season. Why do ours seem so much more damaging? Probably just because we’re more invested in the Bills.

Tannehill? Why think so small? Get Marino and his Isotoners on the line STAT!

We're hardly guiltless on this front, bringing back Tre, Poyer, Phillips, and Lawson. Beane likely has Hyde, Odomes, and Jeff Wright on speed dial, too. I'm not dead yet!

I called this at the beginning of the year, saying Ewers would likely end up starting games this year. I know it's not official yet, but watch it happen.

just to be clear- his dead money this offseason is 99.2M

he enters the offseason at worst as their starter with a premium draft pick pushing him

I think people tend to look at a bad team and assume they’re bad at everything and not look at the matchups so much.  If you struggle to stop the run the dolphins can definitely beat you

their defense usually holds up well for the first half too and we decided to get turnover-itis in the second half which is pretty much worse case scenario.

the falcons game same sorta deal on the running game and I am curious if Ulbrich brought any insight with how to slow Josh down to Atlanta. The jets played us tough a handful of times with him there

Didn't his $250M contract kick in?  What a mess there, but yeah Tua looked horrible.  My suggestion last night was for Miami to be the first team to have 2 QB starters.  Tua would get the starts during Miami home games where the weather is nice.  Someone else would be the starter for road games when the weather turns.

Yeah he already has $54M guaranteed for 2026, and I believe the entire base contract tolls if he is injured.

If I am Miami , I’d look to bring in a rookie QB, and either keep Tua as backup or eat the 54 and look to trade him for whatever you could get…

Denver is the blueprint.  When you know you’re never going anywhere with the guy you got, gotta take your medicine and move on.

I know better than to post on here after taking the meds for my back (leaves me in a semi-brain fog and not always focused on the conversations).

I think it's time to step away for a while.

No.  You are a good poster overall.  Just post between doses 😁

Tua needs to take his guaranteed money and go home.  I said it earlier this season when he took shots from us.

I’m surprised McDaniel is still there to comment …

That mess of a 4th qtr on MNF should have got him canned.  Losing big and just quit, then scored a few times and went hurry up offense and kicked a onside kick.  All I can figure is that McDaniel popped a gummie and got lost in space for about 10 minutes of game time.

dr dawk said it, as soon as the check motion was banned, miami went from scoring 70 points in one game to being more of a speed/power run team (and they are actually really good at that).  all the shannahan/mc vay tree used that to supreme effect, but it seems like dude in miami relied on it more given the absolutely insane speed on his team.

i remember 10 doing that and just blasting past coverage, it was so scary.

So the Jets and the Dolphins remain as f***ed up as ever. Jets 15 years without a playoff game. Dolphins 25 years without a playoff win. And yet the friggin’ Patriots get their franchise QB, head coach and offensive coordinator and are going to be a royal pain in the ass for the foreseeable future. I hate this timeline.
