DrDawkinstein Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 (edited) Not fully official/announced yet but for a HC to even say this regarding a question of his "franchise" qb... It's over. Edited December 17, 2025 by DrDawkinstein 1 Quote
Gregg Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Zach Wilson beat the Bills twice so maybe he can do us a favor and beat the Pats once when they play in a few weeks. 11 2 Quote
Aussie Joe Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 I’m surprised McDaniel is still there to comment … 4 1 12 8 Quote
Low Positive Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 There is probably not much to evaluate with Zach WIlson, but they do have rookie Quinn Ewers on the end of the bench. Might as well see if you have anything there. 4 Quote
ngbills Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Just beat the Pats then do whatever you need to do. 6 5 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Since the Colts called Phillip Rivers, are the Dolphins are going to call Tannehill? 2 7 1 Quote

I dont think any of this will be enough to save McDaniel but he has no other choice at this point. Tua has gone from his normal mediocre play to downright horrible the last 2 weeks. warrior9 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Just now, Aussie Joe said: I’m surprised McDaniel is still there to comment … I think McDaniel is a much better OC than HC and I want him there as long as possible. The speed (or lack thereof) in which they moved in the 4th quarter even after scoring a TD, moving the ball, etc is fireable. 100% McDaniel can't help the fact that Tua has zero desire or fight in him. Laughing on the sidelines down 2 scores while getting the ball back is............. gross 2 Quote
zow2 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Didn't his $250M contract kick in? What a mess there, but yeah Tua looked horrible. My suggestion last night was for Miami to be the first team to have 2 QB starters. Tua would get the starts during Miami home games where the weather is nice. Someone else would be the starter for road games when the weather turns. 1 Quote

I may be wrong about this, but I don't think Tua has won a game when the temps drop below 40. Being in the AFCE makes this a problem since NY, NJ, and MA along with other east coast places get cold late in the year. 1 1 Quote

Even if they did a June 1 cut, they would eat $45M in dead cap each of the next two years. Easy out in 2027 tho. Quote
Sestak4ever Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 So have we gone from tanking for Tua to tanking with Tua?😆 3 12 2 Quote

JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 I did love that final drive of the dolphins, where they started around their own 10 needing 2 scores and it looked like Trent Edwards QB-ing a preseason game. 2 Quote
billsfan89 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Team is eliminated they put up a valiant fight to win a few games in a row (probably saving McDaniels job or at least possibly saving it) but it makes all the sense in the world to bench an injury prone QB for effectively an extra long offseason with a few extra weeks rest. D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 (edited) It's hilarious to see the 2 post game press conferences of McDaniel and Tomlin. McDaniel is a total doofus and I don't know why anyone would want to play for him. Tomlin on the other hand really makes you feel just the opposite. Edited December 16, 2025 by D. L. BillsfaninSB Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Saying “everything is on the table” is just coach speak meaning ‘yeah we are doing our jobs and evaluating all aspects of this team’. It means nothing. 1 Quote
Sweats Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Fins are out of the payoff race..........why put Tua in harm's way for no reason. Sit him and let him get geared up for next year. 2 Quote
