The Cincinnati Kid Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 I am genuinely curious who they get because in a league where so many games come down to single score, the PK is an important dude. Quote

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 I want someone who can make extra points consistently, On fourth and 8 and we need a FG he should be good from 45 yards in, and be able to spot the ball on kickoffs reasonably well. I don't need a guy with a big leg who's inconsistent. Quote

MrEpsYtown Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 It says Matt Gay is a Bill on Wikipedia. Must be fact! Quote

It seems they would prefer to go the veteran route versus taking a chance on a guy who hasn't kicked in live games much or a young inconsistent guy like Parker Romo. 1 Quote

He was terrible early this year, but at least he's been around the block and won a Super Bowl. This is the route I'd go for a week or two. 1 Quote

Probably a no brainer to add him. Quote

Only issue is that he's been more of a warm weather and dome kicker for most of his career. Struggled in Washington this year. I'm curious as to his home vs. away splits and how he's kicked in weather/wind. Edit: looked it up and there's nothing that particularly stands out as being an issue. Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 I hate to say this out loud, but I have been nervous about Prater anyway. Those missed PATs and he hasn’t really had to attempt any really hard kicks. Quote
stlbills13 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Hopefully this takes the place of the weekly player who randomly gets hurt in practice? 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 I like Josh Karty off the Rams practice squad since he gives you a high upside, younger guy who could replace Bass as well. But yeah if its a stop gap vet, Gay, Tucker, make sense. Quote

paulmm3 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Little surprised it's mid afternoon and I haven't seen any "Bills are working out kicker x, y, and z" posts today. 1 Quote
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 We don't need no stinkin' 'lil kicker! 💪 1 Quote
