Is McManus really available? I would think he would be a great pickup unless he is hurt or on a team already. Used to kicking in bad weather in Denver.

Phil Dawson – Tabor coached Dawson while he was the special teams coordinator for the Cleveland Browns (2011–2017). Dawson made the Pro Bowl in 2012 under Tabor’s unit.

Eddy Piñeiro – Tabor coached Piñeiro both with the Chicago Bears and later with the Carolina Panthers; Piñeiro was a prominent kicker under Tabor’s special teams units.

Zane Gonzalez – Tabor coached Gonzalez early in his career with the Browns and then again later when they were both with the Panthers.

 

Phil Dawson is 50 so I think we can pass there

I’ll be curious who they get to come in this week. 
 

I’ve always felt with the extended practice squads that teams should use a few of those spots for “specialists”.

Even just from a practice perspective, getting extra punt catches, kickoff coverage practice, and FG block without wearing out your main K/P.

a good kicking game is very important. missing xp and field goals can absolutely cost you a game, or even a season. it is a big deal IMO
