It has always been surprising to me all the love so many Bills fans on this board had for this douchebag.  At least some are starting to see him for what he is

I never understood it either. He was a douche in Tenn too and rode a HOF RB for  years

What a sign of leadership !

He'll crash and burn after a couple years just like he did in Tennessee.  Here's to you MV (picture the Italian arm salute ! )

You know what he's doing? He's trying to make his team angry about the game instead of sad/down/upset. A loss like that can break a team, especially one that is young at key positions and has faced ZERO adversity all season. I think doing that in public on a radio show is a bit much for an NFL HC, but I can almost guarantee that the intended audience for those comments is his players.

You’re giving Vrabel way too much credit.  He whines about officials all the time. He did it at Tennessee. He does it at NE.

GOOD! We have at least 12 more seasons of Pats* b**ching about the refs before the score evens up!

He seems to have forgotten how inconsistently the miscalled catches were handled in the beginning, probably a 7-14 point difference there in their favor.  Both teams got shafted on calls a couple of times, but I think that it was more of general incompetence on the officials part than deliberate corruption either way.  Another strange thing about this is that Vrabel didn't seem to be so vocal about it when he was playing on teams were Brady was getting favored calls every game, wonder why it is such a moral outrage to him today?

People complaining he's whining and making fun of him are completely missing the point of this. He is working the refs. He knows 2 things are true. First the Bills oline holds a lot and second he will likely see us again this year.

He wants it out there that this is a "thing". He wants it to be something they've heard before the game. Sean McDermott would never do this and it may matter. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it. It could influence their next game and it could influence it in their favor.

I'm with those who think this has at least as good a chance of backfiring on him. The 4D chess stuff isn't convincing to me.

It’s interesting how losing, for any team, heightens just how wrong the refs are.

I’ve lost some respect for him. You’d think he would take the high road and say his team can learn a lot from this game. Guess not.

Losing definitely has a higher correlation with officiating complaints. Sometimes there actually are injustices and in a league with lots of close games, it's not hard for the losing team to blame the officiating.

I always thought Vrabel was a good coach but he always has that I smelled a really bad fart look on his face combined with supreme arrogance.  He just is mad that his coach of the year chances just took a serious hit.

By the way, why does Vrabel always look like he has to poop?

My nickname for Todd Bowles is Todd Bowels... he always looks like his Depends need to be changed.

I listened to this spot this morning (live in NE).  I did not take it as whining and I thought it was interesting he mentioned the Bills lead the lead in holding penalties.   His take on that is that is by design, he is probably right.  The Chiefs do this in the playoffs on defense,  dare the officials to call penalties.

I won't yet judge Vrabel fully until I listen to his comments... which I'm not sure I can be bothered to do.

Please don't take this the wrong way but I'm skeptical of stuff I see on the internet... what game was this associated with?

Hell what about when Milano got punched in the face on the sideline and our guys pretty much just stood there. The refs conveniently found off setting personal fouls.

For sure, that should have not been offsetting penalties.

By the way, when Deone Walker arrived in the scrum (to play peacemaker... I think he actually ushered Milano out of there) the New England players dissipated pretty quickly!

Hussey and his crew have been ranked among the top 3 crews in the league for many years. Hochuli who had the first game 1.) hates Buffalo, and 2.) is usually one of the lowest graded crews in the league.  Vrabel should say thank you for the botched replay availability on the Boutte bobble.

I've always thought John Hussey was a referee of great temperament and integrity.

I love how he calls games and manages his crew.

Yeah maybe. But they had to watch that tape as a team...every play, every impact play by our O. When they see that it's really not the case, they will need to look at themselves.

I rewatched the game twice and although I couldn't see every block, I sure didn't see any that I thought was questionable or not called.

They got their asses handed to them to the tune of 5 straight TD drives. No amount of sugar coating can't cover up that foul taste

Classic 2025 Bills. Forget coaching, we're just going to line up and beat your asses. And Josh Allen is on ya like white on rice. GO BILLS.

Half of what fans think are holds aren't actually holds. They just don't know the nuances of offensive and defensive line play and what exactly constitutes a hold and what doesn't.

No, he is just whining about it because he is butt hurt that he lost. That's pretty obvious.

Well, one of Vrabel's skills at Tenn was getting his team all fired up about how unfair it all was.  So he could have done it at Tenn for the same effect.

Despite the whine from Vrabel he brings up a great point.  The Bills are always called for offensive holding, since it is such a arbitrary call, why is it called so much?  Are we doing something that brings it out more?

Indeed.  Dion's House of Pancakes.  Kromer teaches hand technique that, done effectively (Dion is good at this) results in guys going to the ground (eg swipe moves)

The lazy ref interpretation is "defender went to the ground, must have been a hold"

Apologies — I call a spade a spade and a heart a heart. Vrabel loves to be tough when going is good, but whines away like a one year old when he lacks his bottle. This 4D chess stuff is rubbish.

Plus — since when did public whining was such a great motivator of grown men?
