SectionC3 Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 Here's the bottom line. The "left" didn't celebrate Charlie Kirk's passing. Most people, probably the vast majority, felt as did Rob Reiner. Yes, there were some douches who acted differently, but they don't represent the critical mass of people. Similarly, Trump is a hopeless douche, and what he said was abhorrent, embarrassing, and an abdication of leadership. He also doesn't represent the "right." Unfortunately, what he has been elected to represent is the United States of America. And that is the problem with the whole thing. Having that classless, incompetent butthole in that office means that we have moments such as this national embarrassment. I hate to say this because he is an avowedly racist douche, but Nick Fuentes hit this one right on the head. Trump believes in nothing but himself and, because of that, we get outcomes such as this one. 1

If you were referring to our political climate I'll sit back and expect tribal rhetoric to flow and explain to me how I should feel optimistic about a guy who is so vile leading our country. and his minions just as bad I have a Long list of things Im grateful for. Away from here. The thread to honor Mr Reiner is NOT HERE. The naranja tweet is sure honoring of Mr Reiner ***** please Oh, sorry for accidentally honoring Rob Reiner when you want to remain focused on the negative. That's life, though, a mix of the two. That does raise the question why YOU are in this thread when you don't like Anything Trump, strongly dislike what he says, and you complain about things being "negative and hateful." So why are you even in this thread? I'll take your word for it that you're grateful. But your posts sound a bit histrionic and, well, hateful. By focusing on the negative words you're amplifying them. (Which actually you acknowledged in a previous post, picking up the negative attitude by "osmosis.") I'm sort of amazed that you're decrying the hatefulness while sounding so, erm, Not Filled With Light And Joy yourself. I'm saddened for the Reiner family, happy to honor his creative accomplishments, and I remain unbothered by Trump's comments. They suggest more going on behind the scenes than I'm aware of, and I'm content to let it play out as it will. If there's more to come on Reiner, we'll know eventually. I'm not gonna let it give me acid reflux! 1

JFKjr Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 Have we talked about the fact that Michele Reiner is a professional photographer, who took Trump's cover photo for his book "Art of the Deal?"

I comment on it, I follow it, I even do some deep dive research at times, so I feel I know more of the deep background and what's coming up next than the average person. But I definitely don't let it ruin my day or my attitude, no matter what's going on! You may be happier than you portray yourself to be via your posts. Hopefully that's true. Merry Christmas, and don't sweat the politics. We don't have much control over it anyway!

No. It wasn’t insane. These people are insane. And conspired to have him impeached 8x and created a climate that almost led to his assassination and definitely led to Kirk’s. It should be called out forever.

Trump says lots of stuff I would never say. That has been apparent since before the 2016 election. Your opinion: "He hurt himself and his own party." So? I don't think Trump is concerned with the party, nor does he care what people think. He survived a lot worse controversies than Rob Reiner had bad TDS. (true, btw) Now you think he's "in decline." Maybe, maybe not. That has been announced repeatedly, and Trump keeps on going. Either way, that's a lot for you to worry about! 1

Where did I say that? I didn't give an opinion on the "majority of the nation." If opinion polls say that, great. I didn't like his comment either, and I'm a committed Trump voter, so that doesn't surprise me. It's far from the worst thing he has said, so, if it's your Upsetting Thing About Trump of the Week, be glad that it's the only thing bugging you this week! The masses are going to "have enough?" What does that even mean? You're playing small ball here. Trump has his eye on much bigger things.
