BillsPride12 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I keep seeing people posting about how they think there's some turmoil between Beane and McDermott in a lot of posts on here lately. I also know that maybe a few weeks ago or so there was a podcast that brought up the subject and they had bullet points about things being said in press conferences etc. that give off that impression. Personally speaking I haven't really seen anything that would lead me to believe this but I also don't really pay too much attention to things either of them say in the media. Just wondering if anybody has any inside knowledge or thoughts/opinions if there's any truth to this. If anybody has a link to the podcast that was speculating about it that would be appreciated as well as I would like to start doing a little digging and research into this as I'm starting to hear more and more people make these claims Quote
transient Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I heard it was because McDermott was jealous that TBD referred to Brandon as Big Baller Beane and a wizard but referred to him as McClappy. 13 2 Quote
WotAGuy Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago Beane took the last enchilada at the lunch buffet and things haven’t been the same since. 3 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted 52 minutes ago Posted 52 minutes ago Its become obvious, and how can it not. McDermott recommended Beane for the job, but he hasnt provided the talent McDermott needs, and its painfully obvious. McDermott referred to the fact we need to be able to stretch the field and more speed at WR. But Beane not only didnt address it in the draft, but made an ass of himself with the WGR crew then failed to deliver at the trade deadline. Well that's an easy solution....nobody calls Beane Big Baller Beane and a Wizard anymore 1 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago Rumors of it. Started when McDermott wouldn't say he thought the Bills had a Super Bowl roster when asked. More of it over McDermotts reaction to the Slay situation. Doubt its personal. But given the year Beane has had I am sure McDermott feels a lot like most Bills fans. Except in his situation it immediately impacts his job security. 1 Quote

davefan66 Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago There is always a potential for tension when working with someone for an extended period of time. Is there between Beane and McD? Not sure. As for the roster being a problem? I’m sure there is some input from the coaching staff when picking someone as a FA. I’m sure McD was told they intended to grab Slay. I’m sure Brady had input on Cooks. Do they have final say? Probably not, that would be the GM. 1 Quote

Agreed, but we are at the point yhere is virtually no faith in the GM. And when you see this with a HC, the GM has to go,it won't be the coach. Quote

Einstein Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago I don't know about divide, but McD was 100000% upset about losing Ingram. Quote

Yeah, I mentioned yesterday I was seeing a lot of "smoke" online about this, but it's all just random people posting stuff in comments. Nothing of actual substance. Wishful thinking and echo-chamber type stuff. Even if there was a rift, we'd likely never know with the way they keep stuff locked down, and the respect they have for each other. This will be one of those things that the mob comments about until one of the big talking heads picks up on it and mentions it in a tweet, and then all those same people will use that as "proof" of its existence. 2 1 Quote

My wife took us a way that forced us to make a left turn in a bad spot today. I’m not calling a divorce attorney in the morning. It’s not pure love, or pure hate, like any relationships at work. Have people not lived thru stuff in their working years? Some people you like, most people you just get along with. Quote
GASabresIUFan Posted 20 minutes ago Posted 20 minutes ago McD should be pissed. He has the best QB in the NFL with no one for him to throw to. Add that instead of drafting WRs he signed mediocre FA who can’t get open and get hurt. I support Beane in general, but his consistent failure to properly address the WR position is mind boggling and has cost this franchise. 1 Quote
