MJS Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Hey, I'd tune in and watch. This would be awesome! I don't think it will work out for them, but I'd certainly watch every minute of it! Quote
davefan66 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago If they can get Jonathan Taylor the ball and use Rivers as a game manager, might not be a terrible move. Would certainly take him over Richardson. Quote
PonyBoy Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Rivers must have finally gotten that vasectomy... Nothing better to do with his time now I guess 🤷♂️ 2 Quote

Would certainly take him over Richardson. Especially because Richardson can't play because he can't see. He has a fractured orbital bone in his eye area. He fractured it during a pre-game warm-up when an exercise band snapped. And now Riley Leonard has a PCL sprain and is week-to-week. They literally have no one to play QB. Quote

SCBills Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago What do the Colts have to lose? They went all in on the season and it blew up. Take a swing. Good for them. Worst thing that happens is they miss the playoffs, which was happening without Rivers anyway. 2 Quote
stlbills13 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Do they play the Texans again still? Would love to see him try to escape that pass rush Quote
paulmm3 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I get it. Jones is out for the season, Leonard is injured and also not good, and Richardson can't see. Not a lot of great options out there. If I was Colts GM I'd give Rivers a shot too. 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago He will be starting this Sunday. He already knows their playbook. Gonna be must see television to be honest 1 Quote

I will go on record now— Colts go 4-1 (at worst) with Rivers at QB. 1 Quote

And just a few weeks back, they were thought to be the top contender in the AFC. Which was a stretch even with a healthy Jones. 1 Quote
agilen Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I can’t imagine this working out. NFL quarterbacks are elite athletes, you can’t be on the couch for 5 years and just throw the pads back on. 1 Quote
zow2 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago He will do a great job at handing off and some quick dump offs. I don't think Rivers will be very effective if he has to chuck it down the field. I'm not seeing another Flacco here. I can't imagine why they would go with the 44 year old grandpa who hasn't played in years, over calling up Brett Rypien from the practice squad. Quote
WotAGuy Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago No way he is coming back for PS money or whatever vet minimum is. Wonder how the compensation will be worked out? Quote

Gonna be must see television to be honest Exactly the reason for him to give it a shot! The were truly in between a rock and a hard place - the most hollow 8 and 5 team in recent memory. Everyone is expecting an 8 and 9 season now irrespective of who is the QB. If Rivers wins one game it will be super impressive. No way would you want Leonard to have his first career start at Seattle. Quote
