It was insane. Beane's decision to keep his powder dry at the trade deadline may have been very wise. If you overpay for a guy who doesn't work out or gets hurt, or you take a serious injury at a key position, you've given up much more than you could ever have expected to get. With the Chargers winning last night, it's the Texans at issue. Assuming the tiebreakers there inure to the Bengals' benefit. And what if Burrow gets hurt in advance of the last game of the season, with the division on the line? I'd rather have Flacco than Browning if I'm them. Quote
