It's plausible if we beat them we could win out and take the division.  If the Ravens wake up and the Dolphins who've looked good recently pull off the upset.  Pats will be heavily favored in both games though.  I'm not sure who holds the tiebreaker if they both finish 13-4 who hold the tiebreaker.

Doc, I don't know why nobody else listens on this subject.

The Phins have won 4 straight, have a pulse, and their schedule goes:

@ Steelers (7-6)

Bengals (4-9)

Bucs (7-6)

NE (11-2)

No, I don't think they make the playoffs and maybe they can't beat New England, but I think they may have SOMETHING to play for on 1/4, especially if they can roll to 9-7, which is not impossible.

If they are 9-7 and they can ruin the Pats season..yeah, they might show up.

All we have to do in that scenario is run the table.  The division would be ours and with 2 additional AFC losses by the Broncos, the Conference would be ours, as well.

I refuse to give up pursuit of the division and the conference.

Go Bills

While the dolphins nearly beat New England the first time around (if the rb didnt have his toe step ob) I cant see it happening the last week of the season.

We all know Tua's record in cold games, and this one is in NE in January.

Unless they rest their starters they likely aren't loosing those games, especially Mike Vrabel coached team.  They don't take any team for granted, Vrabel won't allow it.

How are they?  Buffalo slipped vs Atlanta and Miami.  New England simply beats the teams they were supposed to including BUFFALO and TAMPA who are two contenders.  And this is without a legitimate star receiver, and in all three phases they've been winning - elite special teams (marcus jones is an elite return man, defense and offense as well as the kicking game).  What more can you ask? All the other good teams in the league seem to slip up here and there with the exception of Denver who doesn't have New England's offense.

What are you looking for here?

I said that they're a very good team and greatly improved.

Not enough?

Assuming week 1 against the powerhouse  Raiders doesn’t count?

Its week 1.  New England didn't know themselves nor did they know the Raiders or how they were gonna be to take them or not take them for granted.

it doesn't, though. & the bills didn't lose to the Jets. lol

the Bills net losses based on talent and effort are far below the losses of the Patriots. the Bills losing to the Fins and Falcons were very important. both those opponents played their best games of the season at that moment. the patriots have shown up and outlasted in many games they should have lost. the first year effect of Vrabel has been a big part of that.

but now that we are in december the Bills play their best ball and Allen goes Alien. will that matter against the patriots? no, regardless of any outcome. the Bills are not winning the division.

On their best day. The fins. Falcons and the Jets are not better than the bills. Minus Josh Allen not being in the field. the bills shouldn't  lose those games, it does happen. But most times good teams find away to win games they should win. You lost, you run the risk the Bills are in now.

At the end of the day, Bills in the playoffs are a threat to any team. Especially if the chiefs aren't gonna be in it.

Not gonna happen IMO ... Fins will lose to Pitt on Monday night, lose to both the Bengals/Bucs at home and the NE game will mean nothing. Their last 3 wins were against opponents with a combined record now of 9-30. Tua still sucks.

The likely scenario is the Bills will likely be the 5-6 seed playing either in Pittsburgh, Jax or Houston. Would love to see the Pats as #2 and the Texans as the 7 seed.
