Serious question.  Why do we never incorporate things that work in the second half in the first half of the next game?

is it all off-process stuff?

The only thing more weird about that statement is that Cinci- that Low Brow Trash Town, just a nod away from the hollers, has a Trader Joes? 😆

Two of them. One in Kentucky and one in Kenwood. We have three Costcos and an Ikea, too.

2 INTs covered up a horrific defensive performance but it's the time of year where it doesn't matter how you get it done

the first half defense was bad and passive like they were feeling them out and didn't want to give up big plays.  then in the second half they were aggressive and took the risk.  Tackled well today and played the run really well.

Benford/Cook have come through after getting extension,  we need start getting something or anything from Rousseau. It's like he does not even play,  you almost never hear his name called.  Someone needs to get in his ear,  3 sacks at this point in the season is just not acceptable for the level of money they invested into him.

I mean there are a lot of surface level reasons to not feel great after that game but when you dig deeper, it’s really quite amazing they were able to pull that off:

The 3rd down crazy conversion rate

The cook fumbles

Ty Slipping

the injuries

the 4th down conversions by Allen

They just overcame so much.

I feel great after that win. I said in the first half that the D would make some adjustments in the 2nd half and the O just needed to keep pace. They did enough on both sides of the ball. Regardless of what people think, Bengals O is elite and scary. Especially with Higgins back. I also said pre game that IDGAF how it looks, just get the win and no injuries. We did exactly that. I can't complain. I think we can win out from here. If we do and the Pats falter against Miami then we can steal this.

Then we go into the playoffs with potentially no Chiefs, Ravens, Bengals, and possibly also a Colts team that just lost their QB today. Its a great day today.

I was a bloomer.

You had the post of the game with your prediction, er spoiler!

We have seen this game almost all year. Defense looks lost in the first half. Plays good enough after the break and Allen/ Cook bring is back.

Has anyone checked in on all the gloomers from the 1st half thread? I hope nothing bad happened to them. They were very quiet in the second half

I was too busy screaming at the TV and the cats but back now, thanks

Give Allen chase and Higgins and then compare these two

They’d both be major disruptions in Joe Brady’s offense. Getting 2 or 3 targets per game each and unhappy.

I'm just starting to calm down. What a flipping game. Most fun win since probably Baltimore

I always say that some of the best watched games of the Allen era was 13 seconds and the Phili loss two years ago. They had similar vibes today. This time we just came out on top.

So if we go all the way we had an epic comeback vs the Ravens, a crazy comeback vs the Bengals to end their season and a win against the Chiefs

So whoever we play in the playoffs we slayed all 3 old dragons along the way

This game reminded me of some of the home game TD eruptions during the Super Bowl era.  A home crowd in a frenzy, the Bills down by 2 scores at times and then boom - a TD explosion.

Side Note someone needs to explain to me why higgins was allowed to continue playing?  How did the league not step in there....isn't that what all the changes were for to make sure  team didn't risk a players long term health to win a single super important game.

I am really confused.  He slammed his head twice on the frozen turf.  I hope the guy is ok. I wouldn't be surprised if he is out a game or two.

We had a recent incident  here in Rugby where a guy got concussed in the pre game …wasn’t checked out and played the game … he ended up concussed again and had bleeding on the brain requiring surgery … six weeks later is still in hospital and has likely played his last game … they gotta do better these days ..
