Potential weather for the Bengals game

I know there's still a couple home games left after this one but this could potentially be the last snow game ever at Highmark. Enjoy it folks, im hoping for a special game today

This is my fear - it starts snowing and Brady starts calling nothing but run plays, meanwhile Burrow is throwing all over to chase and Higgins

Iirc it snowed during the Bengals playoff game a couple years ago and the crowd was dead one of the worst home crowds I’ve ever seen. Was like walking into a funeral. The bengals fans were loud but bills fans were not. Same with Dolphins playoff game but it might have snowed before the game. 

That I think was 2 games after Hamlin almost died against the same Bengals.

I need some advice… I’m from South Carolina and used to visit some family of mine in Rochester a lot as a kid. It was only in the summertime though. I’m going to the game in Cleveland in two weeks and have never been in bitter cold for no more than 15 minutes. And it wasn’t bitter because it’s South Carolina. How do you all advise how I dress for this game? I know many of you are from this element, so what benefits you could be a death sentence for me. But any advice would help!😂

There is a very real possibility that there is going to be a 2-3 hr window right smack dab in the middle of this game where a couple inches of snow might fall on Orchard Park.

I mention this because we have all seen times when a fast blast of accumulating snow seemingly comes out of nowhere during a Bills home game. And we also have all seen how it can turn that stadium electric reeeeeal quick and have a legitimate impact on a game.

In addition to the interesting matchup, tomorrow could become extra entertaining for the folks in attendance.

This is what many folks don’t understand. It only snows when it isn’t “bitter cold”. There are far colder places in the country than WNY. The lake keeps Buffalo pretty moderate. So dress in an extra layer and just enjoy the snow! You’ll be fine.

Just went outside in OP very near the stadium.  The weather is literally just like the Bengals playoff game here.

I know we’re down guys on the DL, but I’m going to throw out that post-Hamlin snow game against them in the Playoffs. 
 

We almost lost to the Pats if not for the Hines kick return.  Almost lost to the Skylar Thompson Dolphins.  Then no-show against the Bengals. 
 

It would’ve made a Hollywood story, but little did we know, our season ended that day in Cincinnati… team was shot after. 

Certain nonsense the night before also did not help. But yes, we were gassed and drained by that time.

Thanks Simon, was wondering why more weren’t talking about how this could impact the game already.  Hopefully were better built for this versus when we hosted them in the playoffs.

The forecast I'm seeing NOW states the heaviest snow will be out of the stadium area by halftime followed with just scattered flurries. Looking at the way the mass is progressing in the radar I'm gonna predict it's just flurries at kickoff time!

Been lightly snowing since 9 AM.  Supposed to continue to at least 4 PM.Have about an inch on car already in Cheektowaga..

A winter hat that covers ears

Thicker waterproof gloves, preferably mittens to keep your fingers together

A thin thermal base layer against your body (upper and lower) and then multiple layers added to your upper body on top of that. Make sure your pants over the thermal layer are thickish and loose fitting (not denim) and an extra pair of shorts under those pants to protect your ass from a cold bench is a plus. Layers work infinitely better than a single large coat because they retain multiple pockets of warmer air between them that can't escape as easily.

Two pairs of socks (the outer ones wool) and a comfortable pair of work boots.

If any kind of precipitation is expected, make sure your outer layer is water resistant (I prefer wool, but something with goretex is also acceptable)

What others have said for top. But FEET FEET FEET. wool socks and boots. Standing on cement for four hours sucks the warm life out of your feet.

Going way back, I remember OJ Simpson running wild on a snowy Thanksgiving game, then mashing a snow ball into the camera "for all you folks back home sitting in a warm living room" or something like that.
