Are you guys really paying $11.25 for a hot dog at the stadium? We lead the NFL in that category!

Nobody is forcing you to buy food at the game. You can tailgate or eat before you come. I bought 100 level seats from the Bills for under $200 this season.
 

Next year yes there’s PSLs that are expensive but my season ticket price went up by $100 overall.
 

We take 12 people to a game every year and this years game was cheaper than last year. 
 

Besides the PSL there’s not much that costs more from the Bills recently. It’s all fans price gouging other fans.

I feel like this came up a few months ago on TBD and someone pointed out that the 11$ hotdog is actually a loaded foot long so it seems like this list is a little suspect.

We fill up at our tailgate … never buy stadium food outside of overpriced bottles of water.  It truly is outrageous what it all costs. Seat prices are bad enough!

Agree. Who eats at the stadium? That’s what tailgating is for! Even if you don’t have a grill … subs, chips, etc.

I have been a season ticket holder "forever" and have attended nearly every game for the past 40 years.  I can count the number of things I've purchased at concessions using my fingers only.  Water, hot chocolate a couple of times, and a few pretzels for the kids.  That's it.  The amount of money people waste on the bad food and beer there is disgusting.

Since we are talking about Stadium experience, can someone tell me what is the parking situation on game days with the new stadium being built right across? Have they reduced the parking spots?

Falcons did this because they don’t want people tailgating, they want them in the building. The revenue from tailgating is zero. Get the fans in the building, making a little is better than nothing.

Plus a hotdog is super salty, give them the dog so they buy more drinks. 
 

I know with hotels people complain about room service prices but hotel restaurants are typically running at little to negative margins. Not sure if that’s the case with stadium food. Obviously the beverages are where the real margin is. Plus they can justify high alcohol prices as a barrier to overconsumption.

I believe it’s called a Buffalo footlong that is 12.00…it’s a sahlens footlong with a bunch of toppings 

 

sahlens footlong without toppings is 9 and standard hot dog is 7.

It’s a loss leader and as another poster astutely pointed out, Falcons do it to get peeps in the stadium so they can spend more on other higher % items like merch.  

 

To your point, Buffalo can and definitely should do it!

 

At least NYS is only the 2nd highest NFL franchise state for income tax!  We have that going for us.
