TheBrownBear Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Love the optimism, but I'm just hoping we get to 10 or 11 wins and make the postseason. We struggled to score three points in the first half yesterday before the defense picked us up and basically took the game over (along with the running game). We don't look like a team about to win 6 straight, imo. Quote
YoloinOhio Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) The bengals have literally the worst defense in history and some of the worst coaching and OL play I’ve ever seen.I’m pretty sure the pats and eagles will be tougher games. Edited 15 hours ago by YoloinOhio 1 Quote

But being seed one is not about having HFA, it's about having to play one less game and having more time to get healthy. Seed 1 is super important. Not likely now but I remain optimist. Good point about having the bye.. 3 wins on the road is very difficult. Not impossible, but difficult. That's a lot of physicality after playing 17 regular season games. But we were tough in the trenches yesterday. Just need to find some passing game, to keep defenses honest. That should be a high priority for the coaching staff and players. Quote

So well put and we had the best shot at #1 this season and we have blown it with lackluster performance that are proving costly Quote
strive_for_five_guy Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago If we win out, at worst, we will still have a shot at the division and the 3 seed right up until Week 18. If Pats lose to Miami (you never know), we would take the division at that point. Pats losing to the Jets the week prior works too. Assuming the Colts and Jags both lose at least one more, we would then have the 2 seed. To get into the 1 seed, we would also need the Chargers to lose at least one more, and the Broncos to lose two of Vegas, Chiefs, Jags and Chargers. The key is to keep winning, and the 1 seed conversation can stay open. Quote

The Bills are technically 2 1/2 games behind the Patriots...That will get cut to 2 games if we win against the Bengals this week (when the Pats will have their bye)....The Pats have to lose two games (including one against us and one against Jets or Dolphins) for us to get the tie breakers (assuming we win rest of the way).....There are a lot of "ifs"...hey anything can happen in the NFL Quote

I also admit I’m a bit of a homer, but I still think this is rational enough. I think the Bengals are the toughest game left on the schedule. If we win that one, we have a good chance to win out. I know most of you think this team is flawed and that McD is a bad coach, but we actually have a good regular-season track record with him, and we’re traditionally great in December. Oh, and we are NOT losing twice to the Pats* this year. And if we do win out, only the following things need to happen for us to get the 1-seed: Patriots lose one more divisional game (@ Jets, vs. Dolphins) or both of their other games (vs. Giants, @ Ravens). This is not impossible at all. I know they’re good, but nobody wins every game. I’d bet they drop one of those divisional matchups. Broncos lose two more divisional games — @ Raiders, vs. Packers, vs. Jaguars, @ Chiefs, vs. Chargers. It is pretty likely this will happen. They’re winning too many close games, and that’s a tough schedule. Colts, Chargers, Jaguars each lose one game. That’s basically guaranteed. So in my mind, we really only need two things: beat the Bengals, and then hope either the Dolphins or Jets can pull off a divisional win. If it fails, then I’m back to my original expectation: we’ll be playing a wild card game @ Ravens. Edit: As @ColoradoBills pointed out, Broncos need to lose 2 divisional games. Which makes it more complicated than I thought. Still pretty realistic. So you need the Pats to lose 3 of their last 4 games for this to happen?? I am assuming you also need the Bills to win in 2 weeks right? While very possible IMO very unlikely. I could see them going 2-2 though. Quote

Their D has played sneaky good the last 3 weeks.. being very good at getting turnovers as well which per here has been the Bills Achilles heal all year.. if there is one thing the Bills have to do it’s play mistake free football Sunday otherwise Buttow and company could make it a Allen Superman game situation 1 Quote

If the Bills offense can have a repeat performance from the Steelers game (minus the turnovers) then that would be great. Keep Burrow on the sideline as much as possible. 1 Quote

Do you really expect the Bills to play well every drive and win 40-0 each game and, if not, complain that they didn’t “play well?” Does it make people feel better if they split the bad drives up equally between halves? Or suck in the 2nd half? I guess psychologically it makes sense, you feel better looking at a 26-7 score the entire game but the drive to drive results are the exact same. Bottom line, Bills win on the road 26-7 against a 6-5 team…I’ll take it every time. The D has improved drastically over the last 3 games. They’ve gone from allowing 5.4ypp to 4.8ypp. My biggest issue is the turnovers on O. They went from a team that never lost the TO battle to one that can’t win it. Clean that up and they can get back to their winning streak days. 8 minutes ago, PatsFanNH said: So you need the Pats to lose 3 of their last 4 games for this to happen?? One to the Bills and another (gulp) to an AFC East team. That’s IF the Bills win out. Very doubtful that both those things happen but that’s why they play the games. Quote
BullBuchanan Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago This is the worst bills team I've seen since 2019. Half of this prediction is already bust after that pats blew out NYG last night. You must love betting 16 team parlays. Quote
