Bengal Billy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Greetings mafia, first post here.... It's the NFL, anything can happen (cliché "any given Sunday"). Obviously, as a Bengals fan I'm hoping for a really good game with some Cincy offensive fireworks. Realistically, the Bengals are starting 2 rookie LB's (ranked last and next to last in the league according to PFF), and two of the worst starting safeties in the league as well. So ummm, yeah.......... not expecting much out of the defensive side of the ball, but hoping the improvements seen from them the last couple weeks aren't fool's gold. As long as Bills don't commit turnovers I think you guys will be alright. It's all up to the Cincy offense to keep it competitive I think. They must protect the QB and must run the ball a lot. Burrow likes to sling it around, so likely they will pass more than run (as always). Bills defense should bring the pressure/heat often. - Burrow/Chase are playing. - Tee Higgins potentially returns. - Trey Hendrickson, idk. Maybe not likely, but they need him back desperately. He is similarly unhappy wit the front office for not supporting Burrow adequately. Burrow Bequeathing him Chase and Higgins at the expense of defensive improvements isn't supporting him adequately? Funny, it's sort of the opposite of Beane's preference of investing in the two lines and only throwing a few dog treats (Palmer, Coleman, Samuel, et al) to Allen for receivers. So one quarterback throws to elite receivers and ducks for his life, while the other has all the time in the world behind an elite line but no one but safeties and cornerbacks to throw to. 1 Quote
Walking Tall Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) It feels as close to a must win as a must win can be at this point with the Patriots waiting for us after their bye. Edited 1 hour ago by Walking Tall 2 Quote

Casey D Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago (edited) Offense needs to play like against Tampa with Bengals weak defense. Something like 35-40 might be needed. Lamar looked bad last week and 5 turnovers led to Ravens being -4. As long as Bills break at least even on turnovers, it should be OK. Edited 43 minutes ago by Casey D Quote

I have had that exact discussion with him. He prefers investing in OL to protect Burrow. Quote

Bolded above has been a huge issue this year for Buffalo (11 I think in the last 4 games). We also seem to start slow/flat. It's going to be a tough game. Throw the records out for both teams. The Bengals present a lot of problems for the Bills D. Quote
