he looked great, I think he did last week also.  But man, he's made of glass.  I'd still be in for a LB in the 1st-2nd.

Caveat: the Steelers offense is a total joke besides Rodgers who is likely questioning why he came to the Steelers.  (so are their coaches, FO and owners).  Like they didn't start throwing to Washington till the end of the game against our smaller LBs.  Steelers were also missing a OT and Guard.

Can Bernard be moved to backup safety?  We look much better with Thompson and others there.

I can't believe it. I thought they'd kill us with him.

Did you see Tre White try to tackle Washington (kind of)?  Business decision!  I don't blame Tre one bit, but I respect Bishop for taking him on.  Defense maybe can be solidly mediocre, which might be enough if the offense gets it together.

Washington is an athletic outlier in a league full of athletic outliers. That dude would kill a normal person who tried to tackle him.

I really wish the Bills would have drafted him.  Hawes and Washington on the field together would be incredible.  Lead blockers for Allen on Power runs

The Steelers had 166 yards of offense. Every starter was a hero. Talk to me next week.

Wow... so cool.

From the TV view, seemed he was a force tonight.  I like the combo of him and Shaq.  Would love to hear what the view is after people break down the All-22, but I thought he looked quick, violent, and very additive to our defense tonight.  Him and Shaq playing well together could be a difference maker for the D.  Who would have thought our D would carry us in any games this year after the way they have played to date.  Great showing tonight, won the game for us.

The entire defense has performed better with Shaq running the defense. He's been a visible force every game He's played.

Our defense plays better without the undersized Bernard. The front 7 is supposed to be Beefy and crush you every play. That’s football

The story was never about Milano's play like it was never about Tre White's play.

Milano and White, along with Cole Bishop and others were made to look bad by players like Terrell Bernard and Taylor Rapp.

Now that those two huge liabilities are off the field, the defense has improved.

The actual story is how much better the Bills defense is when Shaq Thompson starts... like in the week 8 win over Carolina (40-7) or the win against Pittsburgh.

For football aficionados there are few things as satisfying as watching good linebacker play.

I think the Bills need to do a LB rotation when Bernard gets back. Milano much like Po and Tre seems to still be a capable players when they don't play hefty snap counts (although Po has been playing more and more despite initially giving Handcock some snaps). Milano played 80% of the days snaps but the Bills only had about 43 total defensive snaps so his total count of 35 was more in line with a guy playing 65-70% of snaps in a more snap heavy game.

Bernard, Shaq, Milano, and Williams should all split snaps at LB to keep each other healthy.

I'm mystified that McDermott and his underlings have the audacity to start Bernard when he's healthy. It's the most obvious case of favoritism on the Bills.

It's alright for nickel backs to duck under blocks and finesse their way towards ball carriers. It's an outright embarassment when the player doing that is a linebacker.

I get it... McDermott loves the guy... so give him the unsung hero award for keeping morale high among the backups... but keep him on the bench and don't embarrass the organization by making him your defensive captain.

Speaking of that the Allen TD Sunday, where the O-Line and Hawes basically formed a scrum & carried him into the end-zone was pretty epic.

When Healthy, Bernard is a weapon on defense. His awful play this season has been due to his injury.

That said, Shaq should absolutely be the starting MLB for this team for the rest of this season.

I'm ambivalent about Bernard even when he's healthy and at his best. I'd prefer him to have a role as a nickel/dime linebacker if anything.

Shaq is our best linebacker but I question his durability too. In recent years he's shown an inability to be dependable and available.

Though I remain confident in the evolution of this defense (Bosa's injury is the latest concern/setback), linebacker has to be addressed earnestly this offseason.

In a perfect world, Shaq is a dependable and quality backup... unless he can reverse the recent trend of missing games.

When Shaq has been on the field he has made a difference every time maybe this will show that even though Bernard is a good player to have he is not "The player" needed in this scheme .

I think if the players that are hurt were healthy you would see totally different team on the field you would have to, there is no way all of these players that are hurt wouldn't make a difference but there are a bunch here that just push the blame elsewhere .

Your best ball needs to be played at the end of the season I hope they are figuring it out with what they have and that may be exactly what is happening !!

GO BILLS !!
