Intentional, i.e. from week 1, tanks are never a good idea in the NFL. Most tanks in the NFL happen after week 7 or 8 when a team is legit terrible and 1-6 or something. And the Bills were just not in that spot very often.

Why would players intentionally lose? It could cost them a big contract on their current/new team. Not to mention the fact that a new draft pick could take their spot.

I still think coaches tank games especially after that whole Flores fiasco haha best they can do is subtly not have their players in the right situations though

They have when it is directed by ownership but mostly that does not happen.  The Browns payed Hugh Jackson 100k per loss supposedly.  Again, it is kind of simple, play a backup QB to start, the Dolphins are not in that mode.

I don't think you can teach a team to win by losing on purpose.  

 

And I'm just morally, ethically, and philosophically opposed to intentionally losing.
