Intentional, i.e. from week 1, tanks are never a good idea in the NFL. Most tanks in the NFL happen after week 7 or 8 when a team is legit terrible and 1-6 or something. And the Bills were just not in that spot very often. Quote
SCBills Posted November 30 Posted November 30 They probably think they can win out and get to 10-7 with that schedule. Then let the chips fall where they may. Quote
PayDaBill$ Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) NO scores and gets onside kick, man the Phins suck! Gonna cost me on pts. Edited November 30 by PayDaBill$ Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Players and coaches don't throw games. The best they could do is put a tomato can in a QB like the Pats did last year in week 18 Quote
Success Posted November 30 Posted November 30 You always play to win. Always. The second you start losing on purpose, you infect your team's culture. You're saying "it's okay to lose." Quote

They need top draft picks to fix that roster and winning is only going to make the picks they have worse. They have zero chance making the playoffs unless teams just flame out and burn so winning seems pointless.. almost like how I got ticked off at my Pats for winning a useless game against your Bills last year 😂 I know if my many millions of dollars are on the line I would tank so someone else can benefit when I’m fired. Though, the best solution to bad culture is change failure to your goal, so you can celebrate together. so it’s tricky Quote
Billsfanatic8989 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Why would players intentionally lose? It could cost them a big contract on their current/new team. Not to mention the fact that a new draft pick could take their spot. 11 minutes ago, Matt_In_NH said: Players and coaches don't throw games. boyst Posted November 30 Posted November 30 It's funny a patriots fan questioning the operations of a football team. A team that got lucky with Brady and cheated all along the way. Quote
Offside Number 76 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Would it have killed you to put the topic in, you know, the topic line rather than just "Miami Dolphins"? We know you're a pats fan and from New England, so of limited intellect, but really, this is basic stuff. 1 Quote

The Browns payed Hugh Jackson 100k per loss supposedly. Again, it is kind of simple, play a backup QB to start, the Dolphins are not in that mode. Quote

Dafan Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Their Coach is fighting for his job. He's not gonna try and lose. Quote
hondo in seattle Posted December 1 Posted December 1 I don't think you can teach a team to win by losing on purpose. And I'm just morally, ethically, and philosophically opposed to intentionally losing. Quote
