Yeah only if civilians are not participating in hostile actions.

Drug dealers do not qualify here.

Oops.

By this logic you should be able to fire a tomahawk missile at a guy suspected of DUI

You want to nuke people merely suspected of crime.

If the people smuggling drugs get turned into mist, more than likely it would deter future smugglers.

Or we should lock them up so they can be released 50 times to commit more crime like we do so much in this country currently.

How do you know they’re smuggling drugs?

It's a problem. I mentioned it earlier as a route for addicts to get their drugs if this bombing scheme somehow succeeds in decreasing the flow of drugs.  Just as in any occupation, there are bad actors.  Many eventually get caught and go to prison.  I've not heard of any getting blown up.

How doesn't blowing up drug traffickers stop the flow of drugs?

They're killing the grunts while pardoning the kingpins who will find other ways to keep their biz booming.

to keep vile morons entertained.

from orwell's 1984

In chapter 1, Winston writes in his secret journal about going to the movies, where he watched several war films. In one of the more memorable war films, Winston recalls a violent scene that depicts a helicopter gunman shooting at a boat of refugees somewhere in the Mediterranean. Whenever the helicopter gunman brutally kills an unarmed man swimming like a porpoise in the water, the audience erupts into laughter and begins to shout. Winston also writes that the audience applauded a scene when a 20 kg bomb was dropped on a boat holding several defenseless refugees. Winston also recalls the image of a child's severed arm flying through the air, which draws additional applause from the audience, while a prole woman is removed from the crowd for protesting that the scene is too violent and unfit for children. While Winston elaborates on the audience's reaction, he does not describe his own thoughts or feelings regarding the violent films. Winston's casual explanation of the scenes, and the fact that he is not disgusted by the movie, reveals that he is also a callous, insensitive individual. However, Winston does not celebrate the violence like the other Party members, because he does not applaud or cheer.

Not that I knew much of anything about him or was ever a fan, but that's the way the the most rabid and politically indoctrinated on the left reacted to Charlie Kirk's murder. The public record of their blood-lust is undeniable. So who does that 1984 quote really describe?

Nobody I know did.  I suspect it was a small subset and shame on them.  And as far as we know,  Kirk's killing wasn't govt sanctioned.

Kirk? How does he get into a discussion of Trump administration fighting a "war" on drugs by murdering hapless floating people while Trump is pardoning a cocaine kingpin?

What do you care about other than yourself?  You clearly don’t care about drug ODs.

OD’s make me profoundly sad.

Absolutely, though what was amazing was the scope of the problem and how it snuck up on the medical profession.  Just goes to show when you put a profit motive out there it often just comes back to $$$.

At the same time though, I’m certain there are more than a few family members of addicts living and dead wishing the doc who got their family members hooked had gotten the blowed up treatment before they ever suggested/prescribed anything.
