Curtis Samuel 2024 and 2025 with Buffalo:

529 offensive snaps

38 catches

334 yards

2 TD

~$16 million in cash

Beane admitted WR draft evals are hard.  Looks like the UFA ones are worse given his track record.

yet refused to trade for a proven one this year.  Double-faced Bean.

Feels like we've lost a lot of speed w/ Samuel, Hardman out, and Moore cut.  Not that we utilized any of their speed, anyway, but our WR corps seems to have gotten quite a bit slower.

And I believe when we cut him, he still counts almost $3.5M against our cap next season.

Curtis Samuel is officially the Jelly of the Month club. He's the gift that keeps on giving.

Every fan knew how Curtis Samuel would play out.

Beane saw it differently.

Hes now likely played his last snap as a Bill.

But wait this isn’t fantasy football Beane said and remember he’s the one that took Josh Allen so he’s always right 🙄

How is it, brady..., that a guy who was 6th in separation rate last year now does so terrible?

I don’t even care about separation rate when it comes to him because when has he actually been a difference maker consistently in the NFL? He was a huge waste of money when you could just draft these guys cheap instead of the swings and misses on talentless defensive line prospects.

The Samuel signing really wasn't a bad one at the time.  He was a proven receiver.  I remember KC fans saw getting Hollywood Brown as sort of a consolation prize - most of the fans I saw online wanted Samuel.

It's a real bummer w/ him. I don't think we've ever seen him fully healthy for us.

That's just comes with being a Buffalo sports team. You make a good move and it just turns to crap from injuries or other BS.

I get that, but not with Samuel. Guy has always been fragile and then to sign him to that stupid contract? I called it immediately and was 100% correct. Too bad Beane was again out thinking everyone else.

Beane has really stuck his D— in the proverbial toaster wrt the receiver position this year.

What makes it worse is he was not only standing in the bathtub when he did it, he was also strongly defending why it was a fantastic idea, and that anyone who thought otherwise was a blithering idiot.

He's from Italy?

Was watching the Bears game, some interesting tidbits:

1. Nice Bears Touchdown with extra linemen, and TE sneaks out. Hope Brady was watching.

2. Announcers were quoting Bears talking about change in “culture” , vets saying that it was the toughest training camp they were in. Creating toughness and accountability….seems to be lacking on the Bills soft cumbaya approach.

We're running "Club Marv" in TC again

Never sign skill players with bad feet. Ever.

Or bad hands.  He’s a body catcher.  He sucks,  flat out and bottom line.

Between the decisions to pay big dollars to two bust wideouts in Samuel and Palmer, I think we can all agree that Beane should never be able to sign any free agent receivers IF he somehow manages to keep his job

Do you not know who owns the Buffalo Sabres and who that owner has kept around as the General Manager of that franchse?

Kinda funny.  Fans complained that McDermott was too militarilistic in his approach early in his career.   People whined about his personality being too cold and unbending.  Now he is too easy on them.

His feet were always hurting.

But he did a pretty good job at keeping them in-bounds, I'll give him that!

Clutch 4th down catch in the back of the end zone in playoff game vs KC

Clutch juggling sideline catch on the sideline a few weeks ago (the last catch he made as a Bill too, is this where he got hurt!?!?)

I don't necessarily believe that Terry will operate the Bills same as the Sabres

I know that is the common belief here, but I don't know that he views them both in the same manner

Let's at least hope so

Terry is living proof that just because someone is very wealthy and successful in one field does not mean that they are inherently more intelligent than another person. Terry knows about finding gas. Terry doesn't know ***** about running sports franchises.
