I agree, I wish we had made some bigger moves, especially at WR.  Fact is that doesn’t give you a better chance at getting lucky.

if the bills made a splash move this year, despite our rash of injuries, we would all be feeling SUPER LUCKY that KC and Baltimore and Cincy are on the precipice of missing the playoffs entirely. That’s likely the most favorable thing possible to ensure our chances of winning the AFC and going to our first Super Bowl with Josh.

 

Instead, we appear to be approaching their same boat of being a wounded animal come the postseason. Because we DIDN’T MAKE OUR OWN LUCK.

You're right we could have put us in a spot like KC, Cincy or Baltimore and not in the playoffs. But I know our team is worse than the aforementioned.

I disagree.  The last 3 seasons, the most favorable thing that could’ve happened to us was staying healthy.  I think we beat KC last year if Benford is playing rather than Elam.  I think we beat KC the year before if we had Benford, Bernard and/or Milano. Add Von being useless for 3 straight playoffs.  Trying to make our own luck signing Von made it more difficult to make big moves the following 2 offseason as the cap will eventually catch up and cripple our chances down the road. 

 

Again, I was hoping to make a big move at WR this offseason, but adding that WR while suffering multiple key injuries would likely end the same.  Not many teams win super bowls after losing their best players to injury.  
 

Who did Philly lose last season?  Who did KC lose the previous two seasons?  Who did the rams lose in 21?  Answer:  nowhere near the amount of talent the Bills were without in season ending defeats those seasons.

As far as Coleman, ok. Let's see if his benching lit a fire. I felt that he would see the field again due to injury. I'll be interested to see his snap count and if he's back in his normal role or seeing limited snaps.

I appreciate the thought exercise but Philly isn’t the reason the Bills weren’t Super Bowl champs last year. Neither were the Rams in 2021. 
 

The Chiefs were in every season, except 2022. And the Chiefs have absolutely had their fair share of injuries and despite them have knocked us out anyway. The Bengals in 2022 were playing with a backup OL and knocked us out anyway.

 

So despite all the merits of “just stay healthy” as a plan (which it isn’t, really), I reject the notion entirely. Our best chance of making a Super Bowl at all (and thus winning one) is dodging KC.

My best memory of Foster was Josh unloading a beauty of a deep ball. It had to have been 50-60 yards, Foster had his man beat, the ball hits Foster ... right in the back of the head, he never turned around.
