Honestly, unstable if they dress 5 and Palmer is healthy, then..

Palmer

Cooks

Shakir

Davis

Shavers

and only if they dress a 6th, the Coleman is the 6th.  He doesn’t have a ST impact.  We have Davis for kick returns, and Shakir for punt returns.  The only way I see Coleman as the absolute last option is if Palmer can’t dress.

Coleman is turning out to be possibly a worse bust than Elam.

Cooks has been playing all year and should immediately be a top target. I don’t care. Do it.

I was just commenting on the state of the room, not necessarily a pecking order. It’s just wild.

Put Keon in the slot.

Shakir, Keon inside

Cooks, Davis, Shavers outside

I'd like to nominate you to be our new OC.

Fortune favors the bold

The chiefs certainly weren’t bold in 22 and 23 unless you consider intentionally going into the season with poor WR units bold,

beane was certainly more bold than them those years.  The majority of Beanes bold moves were spoiled by injuries

No worries Bud.  Not at all.

BTW- that’s Ray Davis, not Gabe.  I thought that was obvious given his success in these new kickoff rules.  Gabe is not a ST guy.  I hope I didn’t confuse anyone.  I thought it was obvious given their histories recently.

We weren’t bold in 2024 or 2025. We were very content to just run it back.

If we had done something bold like trading for DK or Pickens or Waddle, I think we feel like a VERY lucky team right about now.

Right, just like we would’ve been lucky after doing something bold like signing Von Miller.  Yes, that was a bold move and he did give us exactly what we needed until he got injured.

it’s not about being bold.  The chiefs weren’t bold.  It’s about being healthier than others.  Which is often determined by luck.

We could have traded for Pickens (which I was certainly hoping for) and he could’ve gotten hurt.  Gotta get the breaks.  We certainly haven’t gotten many with regards to injury the last few years

Why even keep Curtis Samuel over Elijah Moore when he brings absolutely nothing to the table and is always injured

You can not cut an injured player.  For a young guy, the team can reach an "injury settlement" where they pay him for the number of weeks his injury should take to heal then cut him.  The player's inducement to accept this is to possibly find another team, even a practice squad, where he can compete for a spot and get paid in full.

But for a veteran who doesn't have "split" language in his contract and who doesn't want to kick around the league on practice squad there is no inducement.

Probably not going to dress 6. We only did that once when we were using Hardman almost exclusively as a return man.

Palmer got a Limited practice in today so maybe he toughs through after all. If that happens, likely Coleman sits again.

But with McDermott not mentioning him on the injury report before Wednesday's practice and him popping up at Limited on Wednesday and then DNP on Thursday leads me to believe he had a setback or reinjury.

I may be in the minority, but if Palmer isn't 100% - I'd probably sit him and put Coleman in. I don't think a dinged up Palmer gives you much more than Coleman and i'd probably sit him to try and get him back to close to full health.

To hell with it. Sit all the WRs. Dress every TE and OL on the roster and pretend it's 1927.

Tomlin would blow his load.

Trading a 1st for Diggs was bold and worked for a while.  Still didn't get us over he hump.
