I'm sorry, we are told all the time how deep this roster is. We are told all the time how excellent this team is constructed. Other teams win while missing starting players every week. I don't wanna hear it. Do what's need to win. We lost to a Miami team without Hill, Philips etc. we lost to a backup qb Texans Have Josh called a player only meeting yet? Quote

We didn't need a luxury TE; we don't have one now either. He doesn't play. We needed to take a chance on WR or LB. Or even CB. I liked Joey Porter and Nolan Smith. Smith at LB would have been great to have with the durability of Milano and the unknown of Bernard back in 2023. Porter would have been a fine pick for trading back. Trading up? I wasn't in love with Zay Flowers but he reminded me of Mike Evans with his prowess. Even Jordan Addison was getable. Nah we traded up for a luxury pick that rivaled willis mcgahee You were scorned long before that! 🤣 1 Quote
zow2 Posted Sunday at 04:02 AM Posted Sunday at 04:02 AM teams with worse injuries than the Bills have won games. Plenty of games. Tired of hearing how TJ Watt will have 6 sacks and the Bills O won’t move the ball. They have Allen and the Steelers don’t have some brick wall defense. 4 Quote

Bernard had been playing through injuries (plural) this season prior to his obvious arm injury last game...and while that builds upon his growing history of unavailability, it also explains some of his lack of production when on the field. He's still making a bunch of solid reads, but seems to be having trouble turning most of those into impact plays. He obviously can't hold up physically to the rigors of an NFL season at MLB. Quote

He’s done great considering the starting kicker went down and the return game playing a big factor (even in losses, but doesn’t discount the great returns.) newcam2012 Posted Sunday at 08:51 AM Posted Sunday at 08:51 AM (edited) Injuries galore. Sure hope the Bills can get a victory. Anyone think of what the Bills game plan on offense and defense will be? I suspect the Bills try to run the ball early and often. Just not sure Pittsburgh won't load the box early to stop it. I'm thinking the Bills might have to pass first to open up the running game. How will the two tackles hold up to Watt and company? On defense, it's the same old game plan vs Buffalo. Can they stop the run? Can they disrupt Rodgers in the pocket? Do they blitz to generate a pass rush? Do they load the box to stop the run? I suspect will see Allen running more. Gotta use his legs as a weapon. Also, the Steeler pass defense stinks. Can Buffalo take advantage of this weakness? I suspect a pretty low scoring affair. I think it's a field goal game either way. Go Bills!!! Edited Sunday at 08:53 AM by newcam2012 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted Sunday at 11:33 AM Posted Sunday at 11:33 AM I always wonder, if Josh Allen had some of the injuries that these guys are battling would he play? I feel like the answer is always yes. Hopefully we never find out. Kincaid and Samuel are always hurt. It’s pretty odd and now Palmer too. I commented all offseason that Beane signed a bunch of always hurt guys and got grief from everyone for it but even i didn’t think the team would have this many injuries. the number one ability is availability and a handful of these guys this year have proven they are are unreliable and should be moved in the offseason. I give McDermott a pass for the Atlanta game, that was a team so banged up they had a really hard task in winning but these other losses are on the staff. If they lose today and miss the playoffs that should be the end of this regime. The miami and Houston losses were terrible losses. 1 Quote

I was expecting Morgan Fox to be elevated this week. Joey Bosa is pretty useless on the field with his wrist injury and it looks like he is playing with one hand. At least he is willing to give it a go. There certainly is one standard for Josh and one for everyone else when it comes to playing injured, which I do get, but do not totally agree with. 3 hours ago, newcam2012 said: Injuries galore. zow2 Posted Sunday at 02:27 PM Posted Sunday at 02:27 PM Maybe the D today can ball out in the first half.. in their losses they seem to get off to poor first halves and then clean it up in the second half when the offense flounders. Quote

It takes our pathetic defense about 2.5 quarters to figure out how to stop the run. In the meantime they get bullied and put the team in a hole field position wise and on the scoreboard. I expect these guys to get completely run over today and then mope around in the second half. Last week houston repeatedly missed wide open wr and I don't think that will happen today. Today kind of feels like the day the season falls apart to me. I really hope I am wrong. Quote

We aren't in good position being the last seed of a WC with 3 teams within a game of us. I stand by what I said, we are in must win territory and losing to the Steelers could be the final nail. Being in good position means you are winning or at least have a chance to win the division and you have a little cushion. We burned through that cushion with 6 games to go. I'm not saying we won't make the playoffs. All I am saying is we have no more room for error. We absolutely continue to have room for error (although beating the Bengals #31 rush defense at home is probably a good idea anyway). Even if we lose our next two games to fall to 8-6 we are very much alive, and don't need many upsets, and you have to get pretty creative to keep the 11-6 Bills OUT of the playoffs (and even some plausible scenarios for the 10-7 Bills). So go ahead and put the 11-6 Bills (losing 2 then winning 3 is the most dire scenario with 0-2 over the next 18 days being pretty heavy in the "room for error" category) into the ESPN Playoff Machine and click buttons for a while and show me which scenario has the Bills out. Get as creative as you want, and let me know if it is easy or hard. Quote

This stuff is going to change week to week at this point because everyone is so close in record. I already showed exactly that. Of course, as I said, that was pre games played. Now its a new week and the Bills beat Pittsburg which was my main contending point that having another team with a tie breaker would be bad. Quote
