Eh, it’s getting harder and harder to have any optimism in this team this year. What exactly do they do well? Defense : Pass rush is non existent, can’t stop the run at all, don’t get sacks or turnovers. I’d say the only positive is Max/Bernard/Bishop play pretty solid and Poyer hasn’t been a disaster.

 

Offense: We run the ball very well when Brady doesn’t get away from it, James Cook is phenomenal, Josh is still an Alien even when not playing at MVP level. Unfortunately, he’s been neutered by McBrady and I think he’s lost confidence in Brady to call a game right. Our WRs are ASS, even Shakir has been mostly a non factor probably because of Brady. Kincaid is a member of our All Glass team. Knox is Knox, good for a critical drop. Hawes has been great, but when you are pumping up your 3rd string tight end as a revelation, that’s a problem. Maybe Cooks provides a spark? Maybe Coleman redeems himself (hahah sorry, I know I know). Maybe Josh decides to trust the play calls and not hold the ball for 7 seconds, assuming he’s got more than 2 with our starting tackles out.

 

IDK. Steelers aren’t good either so I think the W goes to whatever team sucks less.

 

I’ll take the Bills with Josh being the main reason we win

For all those hoping for or thinking Beane will be replaced this offseason, they’re going to be pissed when he and McD

are still here. 
 

But, I agree with this.  Much like Brady needs to grow up and make adjustments to the offense because teams have figured out our pedestrian route schemes and personnel tendencies…  Beane and McD have been here long enough that they needs to adjust. 
 

They came with a plan and a process to turn the culture of this team around.  And they did!   Now, they need to reassess and look at teams like the Rams and Eagles and develop a plan to retool and get over the hump.   I feel like they’ve gotten to perennial playoff team mode, and think they can just stay here and get lucky one year.  That may work for a year, but it’s been several years of just hanging on and hoping for a break.  It’s time to do something more like the Rams.

 

For now, I hope they all sat around eating turkey and collectively thought… OK time to wake up and play with focus and intensity. It’s not the playoffs, yet. But the teams they’re playing, starting last week, are playing like it.  And the Bills need to match that level of play before it’s too late.

It will be tempting to throw at their secondary.  Josh needs to let it go at 2.6 seconds.

Same here. The true test of a person isn't how they perform when things are going well, but how they handle adversity. Brady is taking a lot of heat for his offense, and now he has multiple key injuries, he's facing a strong pass rush, and is going to have a sloppy field.

 

He either steps up and calls a good game, or he withers under the heat. This is his big test. His performance thus far doesn't instill confidence.

The NFL is weird, it’s all about matchups. We may matchup well with Pittsburgh and take them out, but on the flip side maybe Cincinnati takes the Bills out. Add in some turnover luck (or unluck) and it’s hard to tell what’s going to happen.  One thing is certain though, if the opponent stuffs the Bills RBs and makes them one dimensional, we don’t seem to have an answer this season for a variety of reasons.

Brady needs to get better at keeping defenses off balance and finding ways to scheme guys open in the short area with opportunities for RAC including using the RBs more in the passing game. I would like to see more up tempo offense and preventing the opposing defense from making a number of adjustments down to down. Josh needs to get back to what was working last year and that is minimizing mistakes and playing small ball with this receiving core. Protecting the ball and winning the turnover battle is the first step to turning things around.

 

Really sucks that the year both KC and Baltimore are having down years this team couldn’t take advantage and get the #1 seed with their weak schedule. It feels like this team will never get over the hump with this coaching staff.

This year, yes.   But in roughly the same time frame as McBeane have been here, they’ve won 2 Superbowls (2018 & 2025) with 2 very different QBs, Coaches, teams.

Agreed.  When it comes down to it, I do not believe 17 will allow the Bills to lose this game.   Not sure how it happens, but that's part of what makes 17 fun to watch.

Brady came out of the bye week with the same formations and same plays. He either doesn't or can't change anything.

I still think he’s the best QB in the NFL, but I’m losing hope in this. 
 

Mainly because our FO never gives him enough to take over.  
 

It seems quite common now for us to have a chance to win, with the ball in his hands, and we just can’t. 
 

Chris Jones beats Dawkins in the playoffs and JA gets hit as he’s throwing to a wide open Shakir in the back of the end zone.  Pass falls short.  Bass misses the tying FG.  Game over. 
 

Spags completely outsmarts us on a defensive playcall in the playoffs the following year.  Free rusher.  Allen falling backwards somehow gets it to a catchable place for Kincaid.  He can’t make the catch.  Defense gives up a first down. Clock runs out.  Game over. 
 

Last week, 4th and 1.  Dawkins false start.  4th and 6.  We run the same concept Houston had a beat on all game. Same protection.  Allen gets quick pressure.  Incomplete pass. Game over. 
 

Unless we just demand Allen run through defenses for game winning TD’s he needs to rely on his OC, his OL and his playmakers.   To which he’s constantly let down by one, two or all of the above when it matters.

I am very confident about a win and i haven’t said that much this year. This game is too important for Buffalo. The Ravens dropping 1 against the Bengals was huge. This win will distance Buffalo in the playoff race a lot more. People think it’s gonna be a COOK game, but I think Brady is going to flip the switch and let Allen go out and sling it w/ his new WR. Time to ***** or get off the pot. (Dawkins & Brown are out otherwise i would say “run it down their throats.”

i give them a 10% shot, but those are pretty high odds. The AFC is such a cluster ***** of teams with weaknesses. The Patriots seems to be the most complete of all the AFC team IMO. 

 

Also wanted to add that the Bills Special Teams have been on fire. A couple good returns could flip this game on its head real fast. Chris Tabor has done great with the return game. (that’s if we don’t get non-stop blocks in the backs to screw up the field position battle.)

I hate to say it I'm there. I have come to the conclusion that your personal health greatly outweighs being a fan of a team you have no say or control over.

 

I have talked with someone recently that suggested exactly that.

If they go into this game v a team that likes to blitz a lot, with two backup tackles, and have a pass heavy game plan, Brady needs to be fired on the sideline.

Yo, my favorite and lucky Bills hoodie magically disappeared at my aunt’s house on Thanksgiving. I’ve been sad and angry because nobody can find it!! Now I’m really feeling bad about this game! The Steelers are obviously tough but the bills have the deepest oline in the NFL and Van Demark at Lt is way better than rt
