Can’t agree with this enough.   Although I think we pretty much need to win out… this game is extremely important.    With the division title pretty much out of reach now (unless the Pats just completely fall apart), we have to keep pa e with potential wild card teams, and a head to head win is big.

If we win out we win the division and are the #1 or #2 seed.

The Pats are losing 2 of their remaining games not against us. I don't see why people look at the Pats and think even their soft schedule is a gimme. They almost lost to the Bengals without Chase, Burrow, and then Higgins after he got concussed.

I think they're losing to Jameis on the road on MNF.

In a vacuum, I don’t hate it.  (Ducks head)

I agree, since what else can Beane do at this point but pick through the scrap heap? Still, the list of aging retreads (White, Poyer, Phillips, Lawson) alongside the fading veterans (Taron, Dequan, Milano), chronically injured (Kincaid, Bernard, Samuel, Oliver), disappointing (Moore, Palmer, Knox, Rousseau, Ogonjobi), and just plain gormless (Coleman) is a bit depressing.

On the bright side, Bishop, Hairston, Hancock, Hawes, Walker, and maybe Strong give me hope for next year. And I still think they could go all the way this year, if only because the universe has a sense of humor. They don't get to the Super Bowl when they have the best team in the NFL (2022) or the conference (2024, 2025), so it only makes sense they'll make and, weirdly, win when they're deeply flawed, erratic, routinely outcoached, and past mark of mouth.

Making reservations now...

Morgan Fox has had as many as 6.5 sacks in this league while playing with Joey Bosa in LA. That's more than Bills Legend Michael Hoecht has ever had, FWIW. There is reason to be optimistic that he could be a good addition.

Interesting then that Hoecht was someone that Beane went out of his way to get and pay and that Fox was an Atlanta Falcon August 2025 cut.

Obviously I want Fox to play well for us, let us see what he can do.

Just went on the Steelers message board and a Bills fan posted a thread about how the Bills suck and the Steelers will crush them. Except the Steeler fans think the same about Steelers. The whole thread is....

We suck,

No, we suck,

We suck worse....

Both coaches suck, and our OC sucks worse.

Pretty comical.

I truly hope you’re right!   But I been waiting since week 5 for the Pats to lose a game.. and they keep finding ways and do just enough to win.

Yeah, we need bodies, and Shaq is someone they can plug in pretty quickly. But I agree with Pat on these points:

Except, Patrick, what if Hoecht and Oliver had remained healthy? Meanwhile, Bosa has played the last couple of games one-handed.  I won't even count Jackson since he hadn't shown much prior to his injury.

I have a lot of problems with personnel decisions that Bean has made, but I give him credit for TRYING to fortify the DL in the off-season.

When have they ever?  Oliver and Bosa both.

I believe Dart may actually be back for MNF too, btw.  Dart v Drake would be intriguing.

Do you honestly believe there is a chance we win out? Come on now.

Are they having a contest for "Most Punchable Face in Pro Football?"

The Giants are going to get that new defensive coordinator coaching bump 😄

I sure hope so. Good time for that Giants Dline to really gel. Also, I'm counting on the Pats losing to Balt. and us so..

Rather have Jameis play.

"If we win out" is absolutely the shakiest part of this argument...

can we add Heyward and Watt to that list please

I love Cam Heyward, but he's shot.

If you want to add somebody to that list, make it Alex Highsmith.

He's been quiet lately but Deone Walker looks like an improvement on what we've had in recent past when comes down to depth DTs. Larry O while not always noticeable been a solid contributor. TJ Sanders meh but at least he's healthy now, will he be anything more than depth? Time will tell. So, yes Beane has made efforts and tired of the tribe that seems to think he rests on his laurels which he hasnt. He did it in adding veteran WRs Palmer and Moore this past offseason as well. So effort is there just not the results we/he'd hope.
