Brandin Cooks' contract manouvers point to tampering

The Saints just traded away their #2 in Shaheed, now they couldn't wait to get rid of this guy, of course lots of teams have gotten rid of this guy, I hope Buffalo isn't the team of interest.

It would be on point for Brandon Beane to sign this once great but washed vet for some way overpriced 2 year deal or something further inhibiting our ability to get a true WR threat next offseason.

I'd guess he'll be a Ram, but who knows. Maybe he loves Allen 

I'm not sure what he has left in the tank. If he can still get separation downfield then we should absolutely be interested

This team is more far gone than I thought. 
 

But, if Cooks has anything left in the tank, it’s obviously worth it to bring him

in and see if we can get any semblance of passing chemistry going with Palmer, Shakir, Davis and Cooks down the stretch.

Bring him in....small chance him and Allen have instant chemistry and Josh gets a player he can trust to be open? 
 

It would be interesting to see where he'd be slotted in this group?

does he immediately become WR 2-3 ? 

He's certainly far more accomplished than anyone else.  60 TDs,  6  1k seasons

Hes on his third team in four years.  Its not always because a player is poorly used.  Sometimes the players just isn't good enough.

 

Cook is going to the Rams so it doesnt matter anyways.

This actually makes a little sense.  Beane probably checked in on Shaheed, and it’s natural for a “hey, what about ..,” moment re Cooks in those talks.

I can see Beane offering a 6th for Cooks and the Saints declining at that time

Maybe not released, but I wonder if Coleman is going back in the lineup and Moore has been told he will be inactive again?
