I’m not even a big baseball guy but do think there’s space for a sport that’s got such a long horizon. It’s not optimized for the fast news cycle or fantasy sports but maybe the old man in me thinks that’s a positive in its own way 

 

im by no means tied to exact dates but think chopping the season in half doesn’t feel great

It is a positive.  The shortening of the human attention span is the negative, but it’s become a given and people demand to have their short attention spans validated.  It’s not baseball’s fault that people have been turned into squirrels.

I didn't even like watching baseball 35 years ago, when I was playing baseball as a kid.

Baseball is an incredible in-person experience and is easy to follow on the radio.

 

It is brutally uninteresting to watch on TV.
