Who doesn’t have a good game against the Jets?

Yep they just got lucky on this 8 game winning streak. All they do is beat bad teams who somehow can't win any games

Eff it. I'm happy Maye has panned out so well. For too many years we really haven't had a significant threat in the AFCE. Now NE has built a solid program with a good young QB, solid coaching and to rub salt in the wound...have 2 former Bills producing at the WR position nearly every week.

I wanna see Beane under some pressure. I wanna see his hand forced to nab big time talent instead of running it back with the same faces because we were "2 or 3 plays away from winning and had some injuries".

Beane has to stop building a team to "beat KC" and needs to build a team to win the division. I'm interested to see what happens.

Some fans have a really difficult time dealing with quarterbacks playing better than Saint Joshua

Can we at least get through some bad weather games and Diggs having his annual 2nd half slide before we anoint this guy the next great one? Just trying to add a little bit of balance to the conversation.

He had a fine game vs the worst team in the league that just traded away all of their good defensive players. It wasn't some crazy performance.

As am I.  My gut reaction is that Beane has done too much damage dolling out significant contracts to players who failed to live up to them

That's the way.

We didn't always coast to the division title in the 90's.  People forget that divisions can be competitive once in awhile - it's not like we're passing the baton for the next decade.

I hope the Pats get the one seed and we play them in AFCCG

Well i’d sign up for that right now.  We don’t look like a final 4 club as of today.

The hope is that this becomes the AFC North, where the Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals drive each other to be better.

So yes, people are possibly overreacting.

I think you’re overreacting by tabbing a few reasonable quotes as overreacting 😂

I'm not optimistic Beane is going to be able to shift gears. A good GM is proactive and not reactive, but he seems content to rest on his laurels and his outmoded philosophy of team building. The fact that he went into this year legit believing we can just trot out the same personnel on offense and attain equal success as last year has really made me lose faith in him.

My gut says if things progress the way they have this year and we don't win the East...Beane makes a couple home run swings and overpays for a couple big names/big time playmakers. Two reasons.

1. They no longer have a clear path to the playoffs. The division isn't a foregone conclusion anymore.

2. New stadium. They are going to have to do something to build the hype and hope back.

Look, NE is a good football team.  But crowning them as the next dynasty in the AFC is way to premature.  A couple of us have already pointed out how Houston was poised to enter the AFC dynasty zone 2 years ago and look at them today. An even better example of this would be last seasons Commanders.  Great young QB and a berth in the NFC championship game.  Who thought they would fall to 3 - 7 this season?

People are only doing it because it's the Pats.  Their fans under 40 just think that's how things go - you get a top QB and own the league for 2 decades.  Opposing fans are all dealing w/ some PTSD and are already folding mentally (myself included to an extent).

And that COULD happen.  But really, they haven't proven much at all yet.  Great winning streak.  No big comebacks, very few signature kinds of games.  We actually have no idea yet how Maye is under pressure, when his team is trailing in the 4th and they have to have a TD drive.

Your new QB god Maye is 7/14 for 79 yards and a TD this half. Those stats are supposed to scare me?

Who has a record of 9-2 , vs a complacent group at 6-3 ?  Whose fans are concerned their qb has his head in a bad place , looks out of it, says same old I’ve got together better, whose fans are blaming his wife for his fumbles and ints?   Haha, you better be scared bro cuz you just had the division taken from you by a 2 nd year qb and first year HC with this pats franchise.  Bills are an embarrassment, prior players like Diggs and the bare foot wonder putting up 100 yard receiving gams while our great Coleman gets disciplined and can’t catch 50/50 balls like he was billed to do by Josh and Beane.   This division is over , and it took a single year.   Look at the passion viable has compared to boring Mcd now?    The bills have checked out on Mcd.  It’s obvious.  Mac hollins is better than any our soft wr group.  After knight , nothing to play for for the bills but maybe a wil card?  Mcd said prior to the season the one seed was imperative; how’s that going for Beane and him?

yeah, you better be scared.  This just proves how Mcd wasted Josh’s career.  Bills win 2-3 games tops as secon goes. Sorry they realize now they have been passed and they are playing football like that.  Miami just beat them , badly , the bills who have never won a road playoff game under Mcd , are ready to fold. This isn’t the team happy to beat the draught , these are complacent , uninspired guys now who have no control. Yep, you don’t have to be scared , just wake up !

It's the "steel sharpens steel" theory which is an interesting one.

As far as Patriots history is concerned, they won all those Super Bowls without having to break a sweat so I guess it can work either way.

How about you be scared and we'll wait for the remaining 8 games to play out?
