These athletes today don't put heavy weights on the bar until they're 16-17 like we used to; they do plyo all the time and a lot of mechanics.

If you're playing 5A ball in Texas you're lifting at 14 now

I know what you mean, you are but you're doing a ton of plyo

Nephew is 5a there at Frisco.

That's awesome playoffs are underway

Frisco is a crazy good football City for being probably around 200,000 people

There's like seven 5A football teams in Frisco including Frisco

One of the wealthiest cities in the country that’s also a part of the DFW area will do that. There’s a couple football training centers there(used to see Keon before his rookie season a bunch) and a lot of things relating to sports in general. I’ve met more NFL and college coaches there just around town than I have anywhere else combined.

Well, we moved up 15 picks to take Sanders at 41 so hopefully he’ll start to show us something because we desperately need it.

When he was drafted, Beane said Sanders was a 3T who could play some 1T and he had that “inside rush”.  He

"liked the idea of adding another inside rusher, another guy to pair with Ed on clear passing downs."  And, the ability to penetrate and get to the QB is what the Bills want from their DTs with this scheme not any prototypical space eating DTs even at 1T.

With Oliver out and Walker/Jones around to play 1T, I guess it’ll be all 3T for Sanders so let’s hope he’s been learning how to play the position at this level while he’s been out and will be able to use that “inside rush” to generate some pressure on the QB and to also get some much needed tackles at and behind the LOS.

Also, not to be a downer but it would’ve been interesting to see how playing with Hoecht might have helped Sanders’ game (guess we can say that about just about everyone on the D).

Andy Reid in his Colonel Sanders Halloween costume leans in and says "want to know how to fry a piece of chicken in 13 seconds son?"

And we expect him to do what, exactly?

Play at an All-Pro level and be the missing link to our run-stopping defense (run-stopping is the idea, anyway).
