Not saying it has nothing to do with adjusting to married life or doing too many commercials or whatever else the narratives are but this is the worst supporting cast josh has ever had around him. In the past he’s had to put on the cape at certain times, this year, putting on the cape and making other worldly plays was the game plan starting in training camp. The weight of the entire organization and fan base is squarely on his shoulders and it’s starting to show. Beane has had multiple opportunities, trade deadline and otherwise to get him some kind of help but simply reverts back to talk against “mortgaging our future” and yelling at radio hosts. As much as I’ve loved every second of #17 in a bills uniform, I wouldn’t blame him one bit for wanting out.

Don't be shocked it he retires to be a husband vs QB.  Remember he said something about  he showing him he is more than just a QB.

Remember, she means more than normal to him.  He was sneaking around with hailee while still with Brittney so she has a big hold on our boy

She is doing a Yoko Ono on our John Lennon!!

I’m a big believer in “it’s never just one thing”, but I have a feeling that the team is seeing their dominance of the AFCE being challenged in a big way, and as a result, their expectation of just cruising into the playoffs is in jeopardy. They are feeling a different kind of pressure than they had when they were “on the rise” so to speak.

Is Kubiak and Alan hater? This is the first time I'm looking at his analysis and I have to say I disagree with everything. That first route he shows the two defenders sit on the in routes and are clearly expecting it. It looks like a great read to avoid a pick six by Allen. There's literally nothing open on that play. To en route running the receiver right at the defender is dumb, Brady should have Shakir do an out or bench out there and then there might be someone open space. On the RPO it's perfectly defended by the dolphin. I'm not surprised Allen handed it off. They probably don't want him taking a lot of piss. it's just a dumb play call. There's just no one open on these routes and place. The offensive design is horrible.

This is all stuff we could see in the game.  The big question for me is why? Why do the Bills look like they are hungover in some games in the McD era? If this was the early 90s Bills it might be because they actually were! But this group? what is the excuse? Entitled players with little accountability? They didnt study any film? The coaches didnt study any film? Or maybe they desperately need a coach who is going to inspire them with a "win one for the Gipper" speech like Marv used to (not likely). On Sunday I was hoping for someone to get mad. Just 2 years ago we had Diggs getting in people's faces but now we have just a bunch of people on the sidelines looking shell shocked when things are going south.

Teams generally take on the identity of their coach. Fiery, inspirational coaches tend to have teams with a lot of heart. Milquetoast coaches who vacillate between being emotionless and panicking under high-stress moments? Well...

My 2 cents is there is a contingent that believes Josh just needs to play better. I think they will be sorely disappointed to find out that problems are not always that simple. It also removes accountability from others who impact the passing game both directly and indirectly.

Anyone know where Terry's yacht is? That team looked like they had a Jim Kelly sized hangover.

It's all hearsay but I've encountered someone with ties to the team that has said they do tend to party the nights before away games. Claimed that a lot of guys were out super late the night before the Rams game last year. Again, hearsay. But I'm sure they get rowdy and yeah on Sunday they just looked like they wanted to get the heck outta town after a certain point.

I think his struggle this year is about 3 things

1. He doesn't have targets that get open. I saw on another thread he actually has the longest "time before he throws" in his career. That's gotta be frustrating to have your internal clock winding down and no on to throw to time and time again. I don't think he's had this little talent around him since Wyoming.

2. This is resulting in him seeing more pressure and far more hits in the pocket than he's had before. Those hits add up and force him to leave a clean pocket because, again he know he's held the ball too long because no one is open.

3. He's lost faith in something. Be it the skill level of the players around him or maybe Joe Brady and his offense. Maybe it's the things he's asked to do are things you ask a normal QB like Mac Jones to do and he's bored. But he, at least to my eyes, doesn't seem as invested with what is happening on the field as he was.

Then, you can add in some outside things. Getting married is a huge life change. Realizing you're more than "just a ball player" and thinking, hey, Super Bowl or not...life goes on. Forces someone to look ahead a bit.

Add to this list he played like crap. Dude shouldn't be immune from criticism. Glad to see Kubiak call him out when it's warranted.

With thousands of Bills fans right there watching. You would think they would want to put on a good show for them.

That would be wrong.  This team is nothing without Josh.  The common thread is Josh is fine and everyone is covered because the receivers suck.  That is not entirely true.  Simple answers are often wrong.

Oh absolutely. I put both his fumble and INT square on his shoulders as poor decisions. He also missed some throws and missed some open plays. In my mindset I'm not as interested in just pointing the finger at him and saying "You played like crap." I'm far more curious about the WHY he played like crap and why it continues.

Hey now!

That's a cheap shot to the Wyoming football team! 😀

Not sure what you're saying but I think we're agreeing.

Allen has had games where he's played better than this Sunday and yet we've seen the same sputtering offense even when winning.

With Josh I think he has been off since the NE game which he played well but guys like Coleman are fumbling, penalties added up, and the offense was no longer easy or trust worthy. Since then only the KC game has he really looked in rhythm and the offense itself for that matter. Additionally players are human and if I were him and we failed to add a WR when you are out Palmer, Coleman has not developed as hoped, and everything feels shaky that would hit me mentally that this is what I have to work with and best of luck.

I don't buy the Haillee crap at all, he had his best season and was league MVP when engaged to her last year and has spoke openly how she has helped him with football. That is drama for people who loved drama.

He is in a funk which has happened before, he will eventually snap out of it, and he like always will be the reason we watch come December and January.

A lot of parallels with Allen and Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn in the cinematic classic "Major League II."

Would be hilarious if he needed glasses. (Not II but..)

I think that’s completely common sense but….

Cook didn’t get many carries because he was getting stuffed every time they ran the ball and it was putting them behind the sticks in a game where they trailed from the beginning.  People don’t want to admit it, but Miami has a pretty formidable front seven vs the run.  It’s their DBs that are awful and we couldn’t take advantage.
