USMC 2/66 -2/68.  Parris Island, Camp lejeune, Camp delMar California, Camp Pendleton.  Corporal 5th Marine division 5th amtrac battalion.   Ready to ship to Vietnam when call came to serve as a corrections officer in the Pendleton Brig instead.

USAF 1998-2014. AF was overmanned so they forced some to retire and offered early retirements to those between 15-18 yrs in. I fell right under 18 and put in my papers while deployed to Qatar. Was on a flight home a month later and picked up the sacred DD-214.

USMC (the only branch of the military started in a bar) 1976- 1977.  Peacetime Marine.

1st Marine Air wing Band in Iwakuni Japan

 

Hats off to all veterans who served in war.  You have my ultimate respect.

Air Force, Colorado Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve.  1980-2005.  Never in combat.  All credit to those who served in war.
