Censorship on TBD

So I submitted a post yesterday. Had a few replies, all positive, and a fair number of views. Nobody was questioning the content of the post. It included no offensive wording. 

But whomever the grand wizard is behind the curtain decided to remove it. So I submitted an email asking for an explanation - no response. 

 

I guess I was mistaken when I thought this board was for loyal Bills fans to express their views as long as the post didn't include offensive content. I have no clue as to who makes the rules for the Board and I have enjoyed the ongoing Bills banter but I think the Board deserves better transparency.

I apologize. It was me. I must have misread your post. For a second it sounded like you were saying something positive about: Pegula, Beane, Coach McD, Coleman, or any other non-separation worthy WR.

If the mods didn't clean up the board, the list of threads would look something like this:

• McDermott, fired he should be and sucks he does
• Keon Coleman is lazy and should be benched

• Coleman? He's lazy and should be cut. And he's slow too.
• Brian Daboll for president!

I personally don’t like the run-on threads that span full seasons or multiple seasons.  It’s too hard to find the recent posts without clicking through 50-100 pages of old posts.  For me it would be easier in new threads were started more often, or merged less.

I've taken a few lumps here.   Been to the Principal's office a few times.  Been given a vacation.  After my initial butt hurtedness I realized if I read the MNF, SNF, and TNF post rules a bit better, or had better self-control I'd likely be better off.   In short, it was my fault each time.   

 

I highly doubt they deleted your thread without having a reason to do so.   They stick to their rules but I've never known for it to be personal.

I’m not taking it personally. The issue from my standpoint is transparency. If I broke a rule I’d like to know what it was. Simple as that. I’m moving on.

Could be worse. Some boards, like the 49ers and Ravens, have single threads for each player that span back to their draft pick. Imagine a 30,000 page thread on Josh Allen being the only place you can talk about that player. That's what the Ravens board has for Lamar Jackson. Here, I don't think anyone wants to remember their draft night hot takes on Josh.
