Gruden is from the same tree as Reid! Not saying he is on Reids level, but old school guy with knowledge about the new school offenses. I do watch his breakdowns on YOUTUBE and find it very insightful

He has a win percentage of .511. Mike McDaniel has a win percentage of .528.

Again, for coaches that are definitely available,  I mentioned Gruden. I see positives in him. We've seen all there is to see with Beane and McD. Every year we keep hoping that he will have learned and Every year there's the same outcome. The only thing that changes with McD and Beane are who they decide is the scapegoat for the year.

Mcdaniel is the offensive version of MCDERMOTT.  Neither can adjust to well on the fly. His offense was great until teams figured it out. McD is the same.  Teams have figured it out and he cannot change or adapt when that happens

I’m not advocating for those guys staying. I’m saying Gruden is a horrendous option. He’s been a bad football coach for a really long time. There are dozens of better options out there.

We need Ted Lasso.

I'd actually consider him. At least he would have our team showing some type of emotion.

17 pages of wishful thinking...sorry to be a wet blanket,  but for those of you who aren't familiar with the owner, Terry Pegula, he also owns the Buffalo Sabres hockey team.

They've had the same GM, who is a likeable guy, who's team hasn't even had a whiff of the playoffs in the 6 years he's been in that position....and hes still around (so far)...

So what do you think the chances are of the same owner firing his GM and/or coach who has won their division each of the last six years??

...This could be a while....

Which is one of the reasons I created this post. I dont know whos good that is available in College or NFL.

I keep hearing about Kubiak. Don't know much about him. I feel like we let the Vrabel ship sail, whe I've been a big fan of his and we could've made the obvious move for him when he was an assistant in Cleveland.

One thing I'll give Kraft credit for. He saw really quickly that the HC he hired previously wasn't gonna cut it. He ate the salary and hired Vrabel.

Pegula on the other hand 🫣

Vrabel would have been a really good hire. Kubiak has probably vaulted himself into the top coordinator candidate (or at least one of the top). He’s the new Ben Johnson. Here is a list of 20 candidates for the Giants job. Joe Brady will also be on most of these lists but the Giants won’t hire another Bills OC yet after Daboll so he isn’t on here:

Here’s a different list: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/giants-coaching-candidates-to-replace-fired-brian-daboll/

Here’s another: https://www.si.com/nfl/giants-top-head-coach-candidates-daboll-fired

Here’s one with Titans candidates:

Between these lists you’ll see a lot of the same names. There are probably going to be 5+ jobs open. Usually it’s somewhere between 5-8 or something like that. All of the names will certainly be mentioned on one of these lists.

Gimme Kiffin. Id prefer to dig into the college ranks over hiring from a very limited NFL pool. Hell be available and if he can make as much $$ in the NFL as NCAA, im not sure why anybody would stay down there.

It might not be less work in the NFL, but your time is allocated exclusively to X & O type work when you take recruitment outta the picture

Kiffin was the Raiders coach in the glorious JaMarcus Russell era

Appreciate the work you put into this.  I admire the Man that McD is. I think he's a dedicated HC. His flaws are his stubbornness and his conservatism. I hoped after 13 seconds that he would change, but that ain't gonna happen, so the time is now to move on from both imo.
