No particular order:

 

Kliff Kingsbury, Lane Kiffin or Klint Kubiak. 
 

If Kiffin comes to the NFL I would venture to say it’s the Giants job given his college QB is there. 
 

If they don’t choose any of those guys or they aren’t available, I wouldn’t mind Robert Salah. However, the minute those “players coach” lose the locker room it’s pretty much no salvageable 

 

 

Kubiak is my first choice by far but Saleh with McDaniel at OC intrigues me. Both San Fran guys so the connection is easy to make. Saleh always had his defense performing at a top tier level and it wasn't his choice to bring the circus to town in New Jersey.

Who were his QBs?

 

 

Derek Carr  and Rich Gannon were his best. He's had Chris Dimms, Brian Greese, Brad Johnson.

 

That's not cream of the crop by any stretch.

Nobody else really excites me. I've seen Jim Bob Cooter's name mentioned but that's not his offense in Indy. 

 

I would prefer someone who is offensive minded paired with an experienced DC. 

Klint Kubiak is the guy if it really does go down. It's hard not to like a young guy, who has done what we has, and has the family tree of learning this game.

Saleh would also be one of the few guys where I don't think we have to totally rebuild on defense. That combination would be nasty.

I'd be good with keeping McD if they picked up Kingsbury as OC and McD stayed out of his way. Then either let McD focus on helping the DC or b ing in Schwartz and McF can just focus on being the HC.

 

McD needs to stop trying to build his coaching tree by promoting from within. His tree is more like a shrub, barely clinging to life.

My answer is Gruden. I think if he hires a competent OC, he would be able to bring Josh back to the Josh that we all know and have seen dominate the NFL. He definitely would not give Josh the weapons he has now, and if he inherited the guys we do have now, I'm certain that he could squeeze a little bit more production out of them then this current staff is. Just his firey attitude would contribute more than this Xanax crew is giving us.

 

What HC/ GM combo do you all suggest? Realistic duos please.

This would be the funniest thing ever - Daboll would absolutely get Tua killed.

 

Daboll is a terrible - I mean terrible - coach and OC and his style of holding the ball and never getting a route open short leds to a ton of QB hits along with his penchant for running his QBs.

 

They would literally be peeling Tua off the ground after his second concussion in 2 weeks and having to get a new QB before yer 1 is done.  I mean how many concussions has Dart had and he has played what 5-6 weeks and is on #3.  Tua would be dead.

Of course a championship would still mean a lot to me.  But I've pretty much accepted the fact that it probably won't happen.  And if it doesn't, I'm blessed in lots of other ways.  Once Josh Allen's career is over, my plan is to call it quits on the sport altogether.  Whether we ultimately reach the promised land or not.  As someone who loyally supported and watched every game during the 17-year drought, I've got zero interest in going through that again.

We need a HC and GM who can evaluate ligaments and tendons/bone density. The fact that Beane and McDermott lost Oliver, Hoecht, Jackson, Hairston for part of the season, Sanders, Bernard, Hamlin, Rapp, Jones and other starters during the first 9 games indicates Beane/McDermott are poor judges of defensive line/secondary joint strength and haven’t taught these players how to avoid injury. Replace them with doctors and therapists who can assure we, as fans, have healthy players that don’t mess up our defensive system.

The new strength and conditioning staff seems to have failed miserably.  How many injuries in practice alone and others from what appears to be poor stretching.  Josh looked like he was t properly hydrated for game in Miami maybe the guys shouldn’t have gone golfing in the damn Miami heat and humidity day before game and probably didn’t hydrate while playing.
