I don’t see them going anywhere, especially when they are opening up a new stadium next season. Terry Pegula will not want any more chaos added to his plate

Terry may not want it but he’s already got it. Stop forcing a subpar regime that’s taken Josh as far as they can and get a new regime centered around supporting Josh with the new stadium

What has Gruden ever done besides run a good Tampa roster into the ground?

Seriously.  What's the infatuation with this guy?

Watch his game match ups on you tube.

If we are entertaining this pipe dream, I’d take a chance on an offensive minded HC

No particular order:

Kliff Kingsbury, Lane Kiffin or Klint Kubiak.

If Kiffin comes to the NFL I would venture to say it’s the Giants job given his college QB is there.

If they don’t choose any of those guys or they aren’t available, I wouldn’t mind Robert Salah. However, the minute those “players coach” lose the locker room it’s pretty much no salvageable

Kubiak is my first choice by far but Saleh with McDaniel at OC intrigues me. Both San Fran guys so the connection is easy to make. Saleh always had his defense performing at a top tier level and it wasn't his choice to bring the circus to town in New Jersey.

No thanks.

He's 117-112 as a head coach.

Who were his QBs?

Derek Carr  and Rich Gannon were his best. He's had Chris Dimms, Brian Greese, Brad Johnson.

That's not cream of the crop by any stretch.

Klint Kubiak is going to be the hot name this hiring cycle.

Kliff Kingsbury is a possibility I suppose.

Nobody else really excites me. I've seen Jim Bob Cooter's name mentioned but that's not his offense in Indy.

I would prefer someone who is offensive minded paired with an experienced DC.

Klint Kubiak is the guy if it really does go down. It's hard not to like a young guy, who has done what we has, and has the family tree of learning this game.

Saleh would also be one of the few guys where I don't think we have to totally rebuild on defense. That combination would be nasty.

I mean I don’t disagree, I just think it doesn’t happen. The organization feels very stale and complacent.

I'd be good with keeping McD if they picked up Kingsbury as OC and McD stayed out of his way. Then either let McD focus on helping the DC or b ing in Schwartz and McF can just focus on being the HC.

McD needs to stop trying to build his coaching tree by promoting from within. His tree is more like a shrub, barely clinging to life.

There are  plenty ofthreads about McD and Beane. I have arguments with family and friends about both, with many of them afraid to move on, solely because they are afraid of who Terry will hire to replace them. My brother continues to ask me, who's better for HC than McD that is out there?

My answer is Gruden. I think if he hires a competent OC, he would be able to bring Josh back to the Josh that we all know and have seen dominate the NFL. He definitely would not give Josh the weapons he has now, and if he inherited the guys we do have now, I'm certain that he could squeeze a little bit more production out of them then this current staff is. Just his firey attitude would contribute more than this Xanax crew is giving us.

What HC/ GM combo do you all suggest? Realistic duos please.

Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott, please.

A little off topic, but if Miami is trying to get one last squeeze out of Tua they may go the Daboll route since they were both at Bama.

I'm low on Daboll, so I am rooting for him to go to Miami.

This would be the funniest thing ever - Daboll would absolutely get Tua killed.

Daboll is a terrible - I mean terrible - coach and OC and his style of holding the ball and never getting a route open short leds to a ton of QB hits along with his penchant for running his QBs.

They would literally be peeling Tua off the ground after his second concussion in 2 weeks and having to get a new QB before yer 1 is done.  I mean how many concussions has Dart had and he has played what 5-6 weeks and is on #3.  Tua would be dead.

I've been gradually moving in this direction for years.

In many ways, football can be an addiction.  You deserve a lot of credit for being able to properly put it into the backseat of your life.

A few years ago, my wife pointed out that my mood with the rest of the family was being negatively impacted based on how the Bills played that week.  Since that point, I've learned that if games aren't going well... I can just turn them off and do something else.  I don't need to plan my Sunday around it.  It's honestly been a work in progress, but I have gotten much better.  Last year I skipped watching the Super Bowl, and totally ignored anything related to football until around free agency.

Of course a championship would still mean a lot to me.  But I've pretty much accepted the fact that it probably won't happen.  And if it doesn't, I'm blessed in lots of other ways.  Once Josh Allen's career is over, my plan is to call it quits on the sport altogether.  Whether we ultimately reach the promised land or not.  As someone who loyally supported and watched every game during the 17-year drought, I've got zero interest in going through that again.

This is exactly where I am at.

Who hired McD?

"McDermott, 42, was one of four coaches to interview for the Bills' vacancy, along with interim coach Anthony Lynn, Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin and Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Kris Richard.

McDermott had interviewed for a second time with Buffalo ownership on Wednesday in Boca Raton, Florida.

"We believe we have hired a smart, determined and hard-working head coach who has been training for many years to achieve this goal," Bills co-owner Terry Pegula said in a statement. "Sean is an ambitious leader who has the desire to lead this organization to compete for and ultimately win a Super Bowl. We look forward to working with Sean for many years to come."

"Pegula and his wife, co-owner Kim Pegula, tapped Whaley to lead the coaching search after Ryan was fired Dec. 27. Whaley, who will enter his fifth season as Bills general manager in 2017, said he was part of a "committee approach" that included team president Russ Brandon when Ryan was hired in 2015."

Doug Whaley was fired right after that 2017 NFL draft.

We need a HC and GM who can evaluate ligaments and tendons/bone density. The fact that Beane and McDermott lost Oliver, Hoecht, Jackson, Hairston for part of the season, Sanders, Bernard, Hamlin, Rapp, Jones and other starters during the first 9 games indicates Beane/McDermott are poor judges of defensive line/secondary joint strength and haven’t taught these players how to avoid injury. Replace them with doctors and therapists who can assure we, as fans, have healthy players that don’t mess up our defensive system.

The new strength and conditioning staff seems to have failed miserably.  How many injuries in practice alone and others from what appears to be poor stretching.  Josh looked like he was t properly hydrated for game in Miami maybe the guys shouldn’t have gone golfing in the damn Miami heat and humidity day before game and probably didn’t hydrate while playing.
