The Bengals are targeting Burrow's first game back being against the Bills.

Not necessarily a bad thing. Coming back maybe with a bit of rust. But let's face it, Flacco threw for 470 yards last week. No matter who the QB is, with those WRs, they will move the ball.

But their defense is still horrible.

They're going to drop a couple games outside buffalo & Baltimore.

Don't get me wrong, they're off to a fast start, I think maye will be good but the jury is still out and there's going to be a correction. There always is ...

Buffalo is the stronger team. Buffalo is battle tested to say the least. The pats are not

Nothing is guaranteed obviously but that's my opinion.

I'll say this, buffalo is getting healthier vs Tampa. But if we lose vs Tampa then I'll be less confident.

Right now Miami feels like a classic let down spot.

Obviously I could be wrong and I understand your pessimism

Off to a fast start? They've already played 11 out of 17 games and have won 8 in a row. This isn't being 2-0 in September

And buffalo has 3 losses. Maye is in year 2.

The season doesn't really start until Thanksgiving. Say what you want about bellicheat, but he's right about that.

Buffalo is the stronger team built for December and January.

It will be fascinating because Bengals fans are sold on Flacco, and they will probably be out of it by then due to their defense. Shouldn't rush Burrow.  There's a narrative now more than ever that Burrow is a product of his receivers.

I think it's more than a narrative. I mean Joe is a good player. But he wasn't anything in college until he had Justin Jefferson and Chase to throw to. And he's been fortunate enough to have at least 2 top level WRs almost his entire NFL career. Flacco and even Browning in his first stint filling in did well.

I'm not giving it up yet.

I think they're certainly favored right now.  But we have a history of going on late season runs.  I can see the Bengals or Ravens beating them (or both), us beating them, and maybe Miami has a good one in them to end the season.

They could lose 2-3 more.  Of course, we'd have to basically run the table - maybe 1 loss.

sure. Anything can happen. I just don’t think it will this year.

IMO the Miami game wasn't a let down spot.  This Bills team is more like the 2-3 record in the last 5 games than the 4-0 team at the beginning of the season.

The lack of turnovers from the defense has brought this offense back to earth.

The Bills have the worst average starting position in the league. With the way this offense is built now having long fields has hurt them.

As someone posted in another thread, I don't get why they built an offense that chews clock and needs 10-12 plays to get down the field.

In theory they built the offense like that to close out games in January.

As to the 2-3 record, they've been in worse spots in 23 and 21.

I believe in 23 they were 3-5 over 8 games.

KC over 23 & 24 again had these same issues....

The past doesn't equal the future and maybe you're correct.

Im confident with this QB, oline and pass rush they'll get to the AFC championship.

Once they get that far Allen has to take them home.

We'll see

In the Allen era starting in 19 they've always won at minimum 10 games 10-5 in 19

And got to the div rd or AFC championship every year since 2020. Only KC has achieved the same....

I have zero fear either if we're on the road for the entire playoff. Never have with Allen. Maybe it's hubris on my part...

Agree to disagree

Jury is also still out on maye....

Ppl are overreacting to a classic let down loss....

Allen is still the 1st or 2nd best qb in the NFL and we all know what  that means.... buffalo has the upper hand

Kelly, I’m getting back to Mr. BRIGHTSIDE, but even if the Ravens and us beat the Bills, and I believe that’s possible, not necessarily will happen.  The problem is they have to lose to another division opponent.  We also have to run the table, and we still have the Bucs (they are still banged up), the Texans (but they aren’t anything on offense), the Pats, and Eagles.  The other games are pretty easy.  This Dolphins loss is probably the key between AFCE, or Wildcard and most likely 5th seed.

The Dolphins defense is horrible.

Because buffalo has the better QB, oline and pass rush. Kincaid will be healthy too

They'll boat race the pats if they don't turn it over like the last game

Nope. As a pure passer we sure don't.

IMO the MVP right now is Stafford, not Mahe.

And NE is not "light years better" then the Bills.

No? They sure play like it

We will see in these next 6 days if there is a battle for the division. Tampa and Houston are must wins. Gets them back to 8-3 and a game back of the Pats. Lose one of them and its hello WC assuming they make it.

Because McDermott is a terrible coach who's afraid of another 13 second game. His whole philosophy now revolves around mitigating the defense's responsibility for this team's failures. The ship is sinking fast. Soon we will start hearing murmurs of Josh wanting out. And for good reason. He could go to his favorite child hood team, live near his farm and his wife's job and have a coach in Shanahan that somehow gets the Niners close every year, even with Mr. Irrelevant and Mac Jones at QB.

When Josh said "I have no expectations for the team this year" what he was really saying is "I am over this bull####."

It was a great run....

People are in denial.  It might be better for this team to collapse.  Then some change can take place.  Looks like it is heading in that direction.

Are you citing last nights game as evidence of this?  NE is playing better then the Bills at this moment but that's not the same thing as saying NE is playing "light years" better then Buffalo.

Like vs KC? or Baltimore?

Can't wait to play Baltimore again in the playoffs and hear about how great the Ravens roster is lol

This team has one psychological hurdle to overcome and that's Kansas City in the playoffs
